Which writers/artists would you like to see on S8/AAtF?

Next week Brian K Vaughan completes his run on Buffy and since I think he's doing such a tremendous job, I was just wondering, if there were any other comic-book writers anybody would like to see have a try at penning our favourite characters? And for good measure, if Franco or Georges ever want an issue off in the future, who'd you like to step in for the pencils? Also, there can never be enough covers to chose from. Any requests on that one?

John Jackson Miller from the Star Wars KoTOR comic book...he's an awesome writer. For pencils I would like either Paul Lee to return or for Karl Moline to step in. He was great in Fray!

Covers? I always thought that drew the Teen Titans (newest ones!) was a pretty good artist. 🙂

I don't follow comic writers and artists, but I'm glad former Buffy TV writer Jane Espenson is going to have a turn at the Buffy comic next year. You can really tell her stuff apart. David Greenwalt was amazing on Buffy and Angel - it would be great to have him back. Anyone former Buffyverse writers they can bring back in is good.

Obviously, any ME staff-members is welcome back, but fresh blood might be good for the series! 😉
Yeah, they should definitely get new people in on it; I just don't know the names of any appropriate writers that weren't already a part of Buffy/Angel 🙂

Yeah, definitely, I'm more for Mutant Enemy writers than comic writers for AAtF. For me that's a major flaw with this new Angel comic maxi-series. I know it's supposed to be canon, but it doesn't feel very canony. Now add, Drew Goddard, Tim Minear, or dare we dream...Joss Whedon. Now you've got something.

I agree that it would be especially good for AAtF if an ME member would write an issue or two; preferably Joss himself.

Like The Chosen, I'm a fan of the Knights of the Old Republic comics. I think JJM (John Jackson Miller) would be a perfect fit for either series, probably a little more for Buffy though, given Angel is very dark at the moment. He's really awesome. His characters are very rich and interesting.

For a darker story on Angel, I would love to see Garth Ennis give it a try.

Great selection, and Cassady doing a Buffy 8 mag, wouldn't that turn a few heads.

I like John Cassaday's work. His style is pretty similar to Georges and since he's already worked with Joss before... there's a chance he might take over if Georges ever wants an issue off.
