Has anyone here seen this movie?

(Here's the ad, for those unfamiliar with it)

It's a great "shoe on the other foot" movie.

I was about to roll my eyes so hard after just reading the title lol, until I saw what it was. If done correctly it could be really good. If done incorrectly, it might just perpetuate stereotypes. I hope the movies doesn't suffer from the "white man perspective" which is often seen in movies trying to make a statement, but that end up just being really ignorant (you know, the "look I'm so progressive" but the movie turns out to use every trope in the book). I googled the director, and it's already reassuring that he's not a white man (he's Japanese American).

I might watch this, but I'm weary about it. I'm scared it will just use black stereotypes for the white man in the movie, and that there will be no depth to it.

That's why I included the Youtube video. It's simply a reversal of the stereotypical racial roles, which allows a completely different slant on both views of the issue.

I just hope this goes beyond racial stereotypes and explores what it truly means to be a minority, and be seen as inferior by the society. The premise is really promising however. I will reserve any further judgement until I see it 🙂

Dont waste your time watching it.
Sorry Blaze, your post came up at the same time as mine.

Yep that films sounds like re-hashed trivia. Like a black mans version of the racist crap. Now if the directors had come up with a relatively new spin it might have been interesting to watch. Even a religious themed film that shows Jesus Christ to be the non white he was.

It's a trite and contrived movie. It's really bad. It is so cliched and panders only to the lowest common denominator. It's been a long time since I seen it though but cannot believe the racist movie would have gotten any better.

Good to know, confirms what I already thought
Oh good God no! There is maths in it now!
