Going to the movies to watch a concert is a totally different thing to going to a concert and having the artist be a hologram. They are two different things.

And I don't consider a hologram "live and in person".
 
You did not just give Wu Tang as an example...

A hologram can't interact with the audience. It can't mix things up. It can't take the piss out of the guy with stupid hair in the front row. It's not going to be doing a solo while laying on top of the crowd. If people want to gather together to see a recording of someone singing or playing then good for them but it doesn't compare to a real gig and it isn't for me.

Well, it's obviously not the same thing as a real live performance...
But I think the idea actually sounds pretty cool. (if it works good enough)

Not sure about a whole concert like that but seeing Bon Scott, as a hologram, performing Ride On with AC/DC as an extra number at the end of a show would be pretty cool imho.
