Who are you wearing?

I used to always shop in a shop called 'Topshop' but their clothes style has completly changed.

I tend to just wear jeans and vest tops. But there all designer labels. I bought a load of Abercrombie and Fitch clothes when I went to America, along with Von Dutch and Elle.

and my sporty clothes are either Nike or Adidas because I think they have the best styles 😉
 
I'm strictly three stores:

1. Limited
2. Gap
3. Ann Taylor

I will go into other stores and occassionaly buy some things... Aeropostale being one in that category. But I have always liked a little bit more 'class' (yeah, I'm uptight) and I prefer linen pants and blouses over jeans and sweaters. Probably 90% of my closet is Limited. I used to work there, and got a discount. Aah. Those were the days.

Being a teacher, we have to dress 'professionally' or 'business style', so I always pick the Limited, Gap, and Ann Taylor because you look extremely professional, yet still comfortable. It's the best combination.

*ooh... I forgot.

In terms of shoes: Franco Sarto (extrememly comfortable for being on your feet all day) and Nine West.

Since everybody started talking about handbags... I like Dooney and Bourke. Can't say I can always afford it... but I like 'em. I have two Dooney and Bourke purses. The real reason I like them is because DB is my initials. I have the "It" handbag, and I love it, because it is my initial bag.

The clothing I like to wear usually don't have a label on them. That just bothers me.. otherwise just a tiny tab on the side or something to keep them happy. My wardrobe includes items from:

- Mexx (I work there, so once in a while there's something different that catches my attention)
- Club Monaco (I like their plain/classic stuff)
- Springfield (!!! I enjoy their man-bags hehe.. I have a bit of a spending problem when they come out with something I like)
- Bluenotes (for jeans. they've got the only kind that fits me best--at an affordable price)
- H&M (accessories..)

No haute couture for me! although I do like what I've seen of Penguin stuff. They've got awesome trousers with wicked patterns.

Forgot about Mexx, they have some nice stuff there!

I'm not a green fan (sorry Cordy!) but I am a jacket fiend..I have hundereds I swear LOL
 
They just opened a Club Monoco near me. Unfortunately I didn't have time to peruse it yesterday in the mall, but will check it out in the near future 🙂

It's funny seeing Canadian companies open in the US..and how much they overcharge for the clothes. I was in NYC and walked into Aldo. Well the very boots I was wearing, the boots I'd paid 89 Canadian for, were selling for 199 US. Imagine the profit margine for the company!!!! 199 US is like 240 CDN. MADNESS! Club Monaco does it too.
 
Haha..if I get a new well-paying job soon, it's definitely a possibility!!!

How's the exchange rate? Is it beneficial to Americans traveling into Canada?

Dang that's crazy! If ever I'm on vacation in the States, I really only buy stuff that I wouldn't be able to buy up here. Last year in Florida, I bought some nice casual shirts at a Hollister. Although for some reason, the staff there were kinda snotheadish. *shrugs*
 
Gah. Hollister. it's the Paris Hilton of casual wear. Can't stand it. plus, the staff are snotty to me.

God I love clothes. I wish I had the money for designer stuff. I adore Ralph Lauren and Michael Kors, but I just plain can't afford to spend that much on clothes (god I wish I could)

As far as stores-in-the-mall go, I have to do a J. Crew run every time I'm in there, mostly because I LOVE their styles (the pastel colors not so much). Yes, I am a big old prep at heart. But they're a little out of my price range. I did buy a white sweater there that I had a friend dye green for me. (Oh the green. I dearly love green!)

The places where I actually spend money include
The Gap (for the jeans)
the Limited (for the tops)
B. Moss (for EVERYTHING)
Banana Republic (for nice things...dinner with the soon-to-be-in-laws for instance)
Ann Taylor (no one does fashion on a budget like Ann Taylor!!)
White House Black Market (Accessories. Yes I know they're all black and white. So? Pretty things.)

The only beef I have with these places is how infrequently you find colorful, fun things. (Except B. Moss) if I was going to design a (Spring) collection, it would be these classic shapes and cuts that you can find in these stores, in bright, fun, youthful colors. Hence the dyeing of the J. Crew sweater. they've gotten better lately, but they're still not quite fun ENOUGH. (Ann Taylor is awesome about this. They went pink crazy in October, for Breast Cancer Awareness month.)

Yay for Green!!! I'm the green queen myself...I'm so happy it's "in" right now because there's so much to choose from!
I mainly shop at Burtons or River Island, and Next, when I have lots of money, lol...

Kinda skater boy mixed with trendyness and slight gothisms...

I like my style =D
