What do you think about that episode? I loved that episode. I really really really really started to like Faith and I almoust cried when Faith was hitting her own body and telling her like you stupid killer and all that... It was a strong moment (well you get what I mean)

And I loved how "Buffy" stood by the mirror and was trying to say 'Because it's wrong' and how she in the finale thing got it...
 
I liked that episode, but i feel a bit puzzled... I didnt understand when Faith was buffy and she slept with Riley and he said i love you then she said, 'what do you want with her' and started shaking... it confused me....
 
yup..really cool ep..one of my favs..didn't undertand why buffy in the end of it seemed like she finnaly understood what was like to be faith, and in Angel followed she seemed another caracter, very b*tchy like 😕

Yeah that was odd. And it was like she understood her and in Superstar all of the sudden it was back to that 'All is Faith's fault' and that. It made me think what the writers was thinking when they wrote the episodes attached to this one. I mean first she was understanding in the finale seconds and then Buffy's back to being all 'I hate Faith'. And it made one go like: :😛?::
 
I loved this episode. I thought the concept was great!! Sarah did such a great job as Faith and Eliza did a great job as Buffy.

I think it was good for both of them to see how the other lived. I think Buffy was shocked at the way the council members treated her when she was in Faith's body and Faith was equally suprised when the girl she saved thanked her.

The fight scene between Buffy and Faith was excellent. Seeing how much Faith hated herself was a bit of a shock.

This episode was one of the best in Season 4.
 
Just watched it again today...and it was really sad how Faith hated herself in the end...When Riley's friend (I can never remember his name!) called her a killer, and the way she reacted...that was kinda sad aswell...I felt so bad for Faith in that episode...

I too enjoyed the episode itself, but found myself disliking Faith more than before. True I did feel the little pangs of sympathy at the end when you realize that she truly hates herself. But I still saw Faith as the enemy when all was said and done. However I enjoyed the interaction between her and Spike. I think I giggled for an hour the first time I watched it! :lol2:
 
I loved this episode. I think the interesting part was that since Faith wasn't in her body...she was in Buffy's, who's expected to be good and save people etc..it allowed Faith to explore her good side without judgement.

Plus if Buffy is anything like most girls I know, she keeps thinking about the scenario over and over and everytime she does she gets madder...I overthink things a lot before I move on from them...
 
This two-part episode is one of my favorites from Season 4. Not only did it make me appreciate both SMG and Eliza Dushku's talents as actresses, it also made me an even bigger fan of Faith. What a fascinating episode! The only thing I had disliked was Willow's *****y attitude toward Faith. It was becoming annoying. Although, I find it amusing that within two years, Willow will end up being regarded even more dangerous and psychotic than Faith. Hmm.
 
It was the first episode that really opened my eyes to the different deminsions to Faith being evil, really. It wasn't just a choice she mad. She started to hate herself for it. When Buffy was trying to get her body back, and Faith was just saying "I'm not going back to her"; I liked Faith alot more. I felt for her.

The Spike thing was SO funny, and so was the mirror thing 🙂
 
i really liked this episode. it opened my eyes to faith. quick question. what season or eppie does Faith become good

But remember why she has this attitude. In season three, Faith came in a started stealing all of her friends. Buffy started patroling with faith and ditching Willow, Faith slept with Xander (watch her reaction in the scene where Xander tells the gang this and the one after. Alyson Hannigan's performance is heart-breaking and I am convinced she was still hoping she would be Xander's first) and then tried to kill him and everything that came after. She had a right to be *****y

The acting of SMG and Eliza was astounding, Eliza does a dead-on impersonation of Buffy in the scene with Giles.

And being a Willow/Tara shipper, I love the scene where Tara tells Willow she's hers.
 
I can't work out which girl did better. Dushku's was more convincing, and when I replay the scenes in my head I actually keep thinking it was SMG in some scenes, but SMG had a harder job to do. On the one hand, Dushku has to suppress her own accent and substantially tone down her body language (And indeed, even mimics SMG's inflection and expression every time she says "Giles") but SMG has to pretend to be a badass Bostonian pretending to be a good natured Californian. Understandably, she doesn't play Faith with quite so much complexity, but it's still brilliantly done.

Too right about Willow, in her shoes, I would despise Faith. Shame they didn't play on that in S7, when Willow had come back from the other side herself...

I love this episode, but it's a definite step down from the ferocity before it. TYG just had a kind of angry momentum that wasn't carried over here. It makes sense, since this episode is sort of the first big step to making Faith sympathetic to a wider audience, but it's just a little jarring. Loved Faith hanging out with the Scoobies (And her venomous "Bet I know what Faith would say to that") and Giles' "Tiny, Tiny Babies!", but my favourite moment of the whole lot had to be just SMG watching the news in the airport. Will she... won't she?

Love the title too, stupid as it sounds. I mean, it's such a deceptively simple question... but could you answer it?
 
I haven't thought about the performance of Eliza and Sarah but now watching the episode in a haste, I think you've got a good point there Jill.

Maybe it's because it's just weird seeing Faith inside Buffy's body, but I used to think that Sarah over did it a bit when playing Faith. But then again, she isn't just playing Faith. She's playing Faith trying to be Buffy. The viewers are suppost to get that it's Faith somewhere inside that blonde, hence the transparency. I think it's kinda disturbing that even though it's so obvious that something's wrong with Buffy, Tara is the only one to notice this. And it's the first time she's met her (that's one of the reasons I love Tara).

I like the Faith stabbing Willow scene. The whole scene in general, with Willow being a bitca, is clearly stating more than just Willow having a grudge against Faith or Faith thinking Willow's an annoying little geek.
The fact that Willow's mad at Faith for having sex with Xander is established but can we really be sure it's becuase she wanted to be Xander's first? Everytime it comes to lesbian subtext it's all about taking small details and blowing them up (as in exaggerating them). I think Willow's gayness was in bloom not just becuase of her evil doppelganger making it so obvious but also because of the hotness of Faith. IMO, Willow had the hots for Faith and being put aside both by Buffy as a friend and Faith as a sexpartner, it gotta make a girl a little grudge-y. I agree with it being a shame that they spin on this further in s7.

Maybe being Xander's first was the wrong wording.

Xander was Willow's best friend and she loved him in that way and a whole lot more. Then Faith comes along and knows him in a way she never, ever will. Add the fact that Faith almost killed him, that's gotta cause some bad feelings.
