This is probably one of the best episodes in season four. Not only is it Faith related, but it was a two parter and hey, it was in s4! I already said that it was in s4 but I actually like s4 so I enjoy saying that I enjoy things connected to s4. Go s4!

Anway, I have one eetsy question...did Eliza's face freak you out at all? Her lips were pale...her eyelids were pale...her whole face was pale and she looked plain freaky! Yes, folks, that was an unrelated rant by TC! Quickly, order my book soon before it's all sold out! (Yes, all 0 copies considering it doesn't exist!)

and no it didn't freak me out, I mean if you were in a coma for 8 months with no family or friends to really ensure your properly taken car of you would look pretty crappy too!

I never really noticed that. But it would make sense for them to put makeup on her to have her appear paler considering Faith was in a coma for 8 months.

But freaked me out? Nah. 😀 Definitely not.
 
It freaked me out a little. But yes, this is definetly one of the best s4 episodes, quality viewing.

Especially Faith-in-Buffy's-body's attitude around the gang!
 
IMHO, I thought this ep was a bit weaker than the rest. The concept for body-swapping was, at its heart, somewhat comedic/jokey, and the denouement in the church seemed forced. YMMV. 😀
 
Sarah and Eliza both did an excellent job of each playing the other. It's hard to be totally someone else and not let yourself shine through just a little.
 
I liked the Faith/Buffy interaction and how both Faith and Buffy went to help those people in the church. It showed alot from Faith's character. That's what I enjoyed most in this episode. Faith, Faith in Buffy's Body and what she did in the Church. The fight was great, and there faces were to die for I loved them together. This is definitely an episode I liked, plus Faith escaped, she was caring to an extent and became quite resourceful.
 
I really like this episode/s especially considering it was in S4! (I'm not a big fan of S4) Eliza Dushku and Sarah did an AMAZING job, especially Eliza I must say!

I kinda agree with you about the Eliza looking freaky bit.. obviously it was needed as 'cmon she'd been in a coma for however long! But its one of those things i find hard to watch with her eyes flickering and the palce face and the aerial shot (not very good with the technical terms but the camera was over her head!)

But very good episode!!
 
both actresses did a great job with the body switch s/l.


it seemed like Faith was taken aback by Riley's care and tenderness. My guess is she never believed that there are men capable of such things.

One of my favorites, specially 'cause it's on S4, which isn't that exciting... The Initiative bored me a lot...

I also think Eliza and Sarah were both great playing each other's character.

I laugh everytime on the scene that Giles asks 'Buffy' who's president hahahaha
 
I love this episode, except the Riley part though. Eliza and Sarah did a great job. Especially, Eliza with Buffy's accent!

I love the scene in the church the most. I never get enough of their stake-vamp-in-the-back moments. 😀

I didn't freak out. The pale thing is understandable. ^^

I smile everytime I see the credit 'Eliza Dushku as Buffy' 🙂
 
Cool episode. Mmmm, "Watching Me Fall"'s in the soundtrack. Lovely!
Yeah, Rowan Hawthorn, The Spell scene was fantastic.
 
I love this episode!
What I espec love is how Faith seems to break in Buffy's body as Riley tells her : I love you
after sleeping with her. Sometimes I wish she'd stayed in Buffy's body for a few more episodes. I think Riley could have snapped her to senses maybe just as well as Angel could have. Or Faith would have killed him because she would have exploded in the end. Could be one of those two. But I thought it was a beautiful moment in the episode anyway.
And of course the classic: because it's wrong! 😉
 
I really don't like season four but this was definitely a highlight. Spike and Buffy at the Bronze did funny things to me...lol. I loved Faith in this episode because she was more at war with herself internally than ever before. In the church when she was beating her own face in I felt for her so much that I wanted to cry. She seriously did such a great job. I never felt more connected to her character than in this episode.

I wouldn't say I liked it when Faith seemed terrified of intimacy with Riley, but it was one of her stronger reactions against sexual contact. That, plus her beating herself up in the church, escalated her self-loathing. I don't think we've seen too much of that since that episode. Penance and regret for her murder, yes, but she hasn't dealt with the unspoken sexual abuse. Maybe it isn't necessary, or at least Faith doesn't think it's necessary, but I wouldn't be surprised if that resurfaces in Season Eight (and if it has, please don't tell me, since I'm reading only the collections).
 
I watched this episode again today and realised how good it was once again. To be able to finally see Faith react to the things shes always desired was fascinating. It just shows how messed up on the inside she is and how slaying and murdering on top has added to that. I think when Riley said he loved her (but to Buffy) she just freaked because she had never heard that truly from anyone in her life. It was a completely normal human reaction. The ending though with us seeing how disgusted Faith is with herself and literally taking it out... on herself was pretty powerful, it was definitely the beginning of her true meltdown when she finally went to LA.
