Wow, wow, wow. My 2nd fav episode of this season. SMG & ED's performances were spectacular. Some really classic scenes: Faith as Buffy in the bath & looking in the mirror- "Because it's wrong"; & her interaction with Spike (who can recite that conversation word-for-word 3 yrs later). I really like Tara in this- I think her innate power as a witch is really underdeveloped & underappreciated in the series as a whole.

What didn't really strike me until this re-watch was how powerfully making love to Riley affected Faith. It really seemed to me the beginning point for her path to redemption. She just could not grasp unconditional love, but it made a profound impression on her. Her self-loathing was painful to watch as she bashed Buffy-as-Faith's head into the ground.

Oh, and Willow & Tara doing that spell- subtext much? 😉 Man, the censors really let that one slip by.

I can't wait to see Faith on the next 2 episodes of Angel. But it's late, so it'll have to wait until tomorrow. :cool2:

Funniest Scene is Buffy (as Faith) in the Bathroom mirror "You cant do that, its wrong, Ill kick your ass" 😛

Am I the only one who thought it was really morbid (is that the right word? maybe I should use another one?) that when Faith took over Buffy's body, and took a bath with it? Talk about nudity's privacy....

Nah, it's not weird. I think the writer even meant to write it that way. Faith has been waiting for years to lay a hand on Buffy. 😀

it had been creeping up on her though - when th victim girl outside the Bronze says thank you and then repeats it because she senses that F/B hadn't heard her. and the transition from stabbing Willow to Willow asking if she was ok shook her too. Just having to smile at that point is groundbreaking for Faith ...

i love the way that Tara senses F/B's energy field - somehow it fits that her skills would be honed that way from what we (later) understand of her family.

And LOL at that conversation with Spike - it took the wind right out of his sails and then wrapped him up in verbal barbed wire 🙂 so well played

I always think that Faith was part of Spike's crush on Buffy, she made him want Buffy. In this scene he definitely wants her (Buffy), even though he hates her. Some men can't resist a woman's sexuality 🙂

I was trying to remember which female comedian it was who said,
"Any woman can walk up to any man and say, "I'm going to take you home with me tonight, have sex with you and poke you with a stick", and the mans only response will be, How sharp is the stick?"

Anyway, now I alway's think of Faith and these episodes when I hear that joke.
Oh and my latest progress with Faith's Draconian Katra:

Starting in next week to make the mold so the body can be replicated in Silver.😀😀😀
