Who cares!!?? Comic is better than nothing!!

Whatever, Im not complaining! Its better than nothing, I just want the story to always continue and go on and on. I highly doubt they would bring back the show it ended in 2002 it is 2008. Everyone has grown alot and are involved in other projects!! Season 7 finale just leaves you with the feeling of wanting more and thats what I want! I wanna see what happens to my favourite characters. I am grateful they did this like I said before its better than nothing. I just hope that one day in the comics Spike and Buffy will meet again.

Same here too. I'd never stepped into a comic shop prior to buying Buffy (I bought Fray and Tales of S & V online). I had no idea what i was doing when i walked into the shop and, for some reason felt nervous about the whole thing - actually i think it was becuae the comic book guy was a bit scary...come to think of it, he still makes me nervous even after all this time.

I get people's point though, like in some ways when something dissapoints you, you'd wish it was better off left alone, just personally I feel like this is a great story. Actually I sympathize with some of the haters though because for example I'm nervous about the possibility of spike or angel being in the comics... it's because I personally think Spike and Buffy are... I don't know, the supercouple that is meant to be, so I don't want Joss to choose Angel for that role because that would be a little bit of a bummer... but at the same time if ever Joss makes a definitive statement over that whole Spike vs Angel thing (except I kind of think he never well) I would accept it as cannon, and still be greatful that the stories live on!

The best part about comic book format is that the scale completely changes. *spoiler* Please don't tell me that there was any way they could convincingly animate a giant Mecha Dawn or Dawn the Centaur on TV. Not EVER going to happen (at least not to the quality of "dusting a vamp" as we saw in later seasons). In reality, I think some of the fan base would have been lost right there if the TV show had tried. A person is hard pressed to suspend disbelief on things like that in a live-action format. Not to mention the cost is huge.

I think it's fantastic that the writers and artists get a chance to move the characters into huge-scale locales and visit unimaginable demons and have battles with a cast of thousands. These are things I love to see in my fiction reading.

I think the biggest complaint I've heard is honestly the once-a-month drip-drip-drip pace of the comics. However, after 6 years of absence, even a current storyline once a month has got to be somewhat satisfying, yes?

... Ignore the scary comic book guy. Trust me, he has his niche and he's not going anywhere. They don't normally bite and are already familiar with rejection (just in case one asks you on a date). And sometimes you get lucky, find a good one, and marry him like I did!
