If I did I sure didn't mean to. What I meant was here's the supposition "The Shadowmen are responsible for how Slayers are chosen". OK, now here's the facts we can draw on for possible support. The 5 statements are fact. It's only making the connection which requires supposition.
Supporting a supposition with fact is to me an entirely different thing than supporting a supposition with more supposition.
For example if you say the powers help Angel out sometimes that appears to be a fact. If you then say, they probably help Buffy out sometimes too, that's a supposition. If you leap from there to say therefore they govern how the slayer line works, that's a supposition based on a supposition.
Really, I only have one major point. The Shadowmen are the ones we know for sure are connected to the creation of a slayer. We know nothing of any connection to slayers by the PTB in any way, shape, or form.
That doesn't mean the PTB couldn't be connected to slayers. I'm just saying if you're looking for a connection between slayers and their creation, where's the more likely place to start if you want something like script fact to support your arguement?
