Question Who could you live with?

I was reading the "which characters could you live without" thread and I started pondering this.

If, for some reason, you had to live with any of the characters from Buffy or Angel who would you choose to live with? Who would you choose not to live with?

I know this is a crazy question. It's just been attacking my brain.


I Could probably handle living with:

Andrew! Would totally watch the whole run of Doctor Who together!

Giles: Want him to add his library to mine and then there would be so many books I would probably die.

Xander: He could fix the place up when stuff breaks!


I don't think I could live with:

Buffy: My house would get torn up all the time, plus she comes with Dawn.

Spike: Let's be honest here. I'd end up jumping him. Then my husband would want a divorce and it wouldn't be pretty. *shakes head

I wouldn't mind living with Spike. He has electricity (somehow) and candles and it's secluded enough so I could hermit it up.

I wouldn't mind living at Buffy's as that would kind of make you an honorary member of the Scooby Gang, which would be cool. I'd probably argue with Dawn a lot though.

I couldn't live with Xander and Anya though, they'd drive me insane.

Who I Could Live With:

Angel: We'd stay out of each other's hair. Very relaxed and mellow atmosphere. Plus, he cooks! My ideal roomie! 😛

Cordy: Again, she seems to like to keep herself to herself and just chill at home. She kept her place clean and tidy. At the same time, she is caring and likes to have the people she likes around and just chat and have fun. We would so have fabulous girly chats on the couch with wine and our hair in towels!

So Angel and Cordy would be my preferred roommates.

Who I Absolutely, Under No Circumstances Could Live With:

Spike: I'd kill him. There is just no two ways about it. I'd totally stake him with a wooden spoon. Given what Giles and Xander had to put up with him. WORLD OF NO. Hell, I wouldn't even invite him in!

Anybody else, I could live with to varying degrees of success and failure.

Who I could live with:

Andrew: He and I would make great house buddies

Buffy (later seasons): We'd stay out of each other's hair...

Willow: Oh god, Willow would be such a great housemate! AHH

Tara: Tara and I would get along so well.


Who I couldn't live with:

Angel: We would kill each other

Giles: I can see him trying to tell me how to do things, and not to mess with this or that... I'd be like "Um.. I have parents, I don't like them, so I moved out. Go away."

Spike: I love him, but we are WAY too similar. If I knew someone that close to my personality in person, I'd get pissed and annoyed. And if he met me, he'd try to kill me... even post soul. Why? 'cause we're just WAY too similar. He'd get annoyed with my whiny emotional sides and the faults in him I find endearing as a character would PISS ME OFF if he was real..

I could live with

Cordelia - Every thing Kean said plus she comes with Phantom Dennis

Buffy - She seems to do well living in crowded conditions with people, still manages to be neat, and she has proven that she would contribute to chores and rent.

Xander - He's cheerful and funny and he has a job and knows how to fix things.

Lorne and Tara - I just love their personalities and would enjoy being around them all day.

I couldn't live with

Angel - too much brooding and he has to have everything just so.

Willow - She doesn't contribute rent or have a job.

Anya - I love the character but I think she would be annoying to live with even if she would definitely contribute to rent.

Spike - He is too intrusive of everyone else's homes to make a good roommate.

Giles - We would listen to old Rock stuff and jam with our guitars!! (He'd also sing of course!)
Xander - Well, he's just so funny. I guess hanging out with him would be pretty cool.
Willow - Pretty much the same reason.
Andrew - We'd watch Star Wars the whole time 😀


I couldn't live with

Dawn - She's annoying (for me as a viewer anyway).
Buffy - She doesn't do much besides slaying (in the later seasons).

Would definitely be playing guitar with Giles too. Probably in the library. Surrounded by our massive collection of books.

Xander- He's funny. He's handy. He's hot.

Cannot live with

Buffy- Demons would hunt her down and all the fighting would destroy my house and ruin my carefully placed knick-knacks.

Angel- He would brood way to much and then I would have to shove him out the door and into broad daylight.

Spike- He would hog the TV an watch stupid soaps. "No Spike, I don't care if Timmy is in a well." That would be awful.

No vampires. I couldn't buy all their blood.

Willow- All that damn incense would give me a headache.

Oz- I am allergic to animal hair...I don't know if werewolf hair is in that category, but I'm assuming so.

Fred and Gunn- Would just be extremely annoying.

I would not be able to live with the lot of 'em. 😛

Definitely Andrew, I think that would be the most fun, we would watch a lot of movies and do stupid things.
Willow, Tara, Buffy, Xander, Oz would be fine, and I can totally be living with Angel!

I couldn't live with Spike, well I could for a few seconds then I would throw gasoline on him and set him on fire. I also couldn't live with Giles, that would be boring, and not Faith, I would feel uncomfortable with her around.

It's more like a question of who would put up with me than the other way around (Not one word, Miss K!) But if I just HAD to choose someone to live with, it would probably be Faith. I would love to spar with her, and we seem to share an interest in edged weapons. I would love to have a debate sometime about her Hibben's Jackal vs one of my Bowie knives. Mr Hibben is a great craftsman, but Jim Bowie was the father of American knife fighting. And I'll bet she loves pit bulldogs, too...

Living with Lorne would be awesome wouldn't it? I can envisage some kind of constant slumberparty type thing with drinking cocktails and bitching and wearing facemasks and stuff. 😛

Plus it's an easy way to get rid of door to door salespeople.

Angel: He cooks, so that is a plus. I would love to have a homecooked breakfast everyday and not cereal. Although his brooding could get annoying.
Fred: I could live with her, just not when she is in her writing on the wall stage like she was when she first appeared in Angel. Oh, and not in season 5, because, well yeah.
Willow: We would get along great 🙂

Could not live with:
Dawn: I would want to kill her. Too complainy and whiny.
Giles: I feel like everytime I watched TV or got on the computer, he would give me a look that says "Americans" or make me read. Don't get me wrong, I love to read, but probably not as much as Giles.

Andrew - He's awesome, and we'd totally geek out a lot. I'd tell him to make me cookies or else he's getting the boot.

Tara - She's be a great roommate/friend and you know it.

AtS Cordelia - She'd keep my life interesting and funny.

Xander - Let's face it, I break stuff a lot. Xander would fix it right up.

Lorne - Like Tara, he'd be a great roommate/friend, as long as he doesn't use all the hot water we should be fine.


Who I Am Unsure About
Illyria - I don't know what would happen, I could try to at least help her around and understand stuff more though


Who I Can Not Live With
Angel - I'd probably accidentally end up stabbing, staking, decapitating him, or pushing him into sunlight...

Dawn - You know why

Kennedy - You also know why

Who I could live with

Xander- He's got everything I'd want in a roommate: handsome, funny, handy, large apartment, good job, a car, and a geek like me. We can watch a lot of TV shows and discuss them together.

Giles Books! Lots of books! And makes a lot of money from the Magic Box, and I'd love to visit his family in the UK. Plus, handsome!

Angel- Big hotel! Reads books! Cooks! Also, strong enough to save me from danger.

Cordelia Funny, stylish, lots of magazines, a wonderful friend to have. The ghost thing is downside of living with her, but I'd get used to it.


Cannot live with

Buffy- Too much drama and very distanced. Plus the house falling on my head whenever we get attacked. I'd probably have fun with Dawn, though, I find her a pretty cool person. Buffy is the downside for me.

Spike- Live in a crypt? With no bathroom? And watching stupid soaps all day long? Also smoking and drinking all the time? Thanks, but no thanks.

Willow- I'd love to live with her if she stops her obsession with magic. Also, she doesn't work and I'm afraid she'd play with my mind. Eh, no, please! But pre-S4 Willow would be so much fun to live with!

Andrew- NO!!! I will never stand him and I don't like Star Trek and Star Wars. At least, Xander watches different types of shows.

Anya- She's funny on TV, but in real life? NO! She'd blab about my sexual life to stangers and everybody would know that I enjoy spanking and laugh at me! Plus, she'd annoy me too much that I'd turn into a murderer.

I couldn't live with Spike. He'd get on my nerves pining over Buffy And Not executing any good plans...

First of all, great thread. I'm really enjoying all your posts!

Ok, since I haven't gotten past season 1 of angel I haven't met everyone so i'll just comment on those I know.

I like what white avenger said and I agree that it would be more a matter of who would put up with me. Im kind of a slob.

I would be happy living with almost everyone. I want to stick up for dawn here. I would enjoy her company and would love eating her crazy food inventions.

My only reservation would be angel only because I think I'd always be scared of him getting that moment of true happiness and turning all evil.
