Who do you consider a scoobie?

I don't think of Riley, Angel, Spike, Wes, or Giles as scoobies, and here's why. Wes and Giles were leaders, and not really young enough to really be scoobs. and Angel, Riley and Spike were loners, and thus don't meet my criteria.

Buffy isn't a Scooby at all.

Giles is important, or at least he was. He was the watcher, not a Scooby.
Faith and Kendra were Slayers on their own, and definitely not scoobies.

When I think scooby, I think 'groupie' - like Spike used to say to piss them off.

Willow, Xander, Anya, Cordy, Oz

Riley perhaps (but only from Season 5). I still don't like him for splitting up the Scoobies in Season 4.

Tara was definitely a Scooby. She went through hell more than once due to her devotion to the cause.

It depends on how you look at it, Giles is a Watcher, not exactly a part of the scoobie gang, but he did help still.

I think that everyone but Angel and Riley are scoobies. Riley..well I never liked Riley so hes not on the list(lol), and Angel I felt was never really part of the group.

Angel was in and out - he was more of a.. part-timer. So I don't think he would really count.

The only scoobies are Buffy, Giles, Willow and Xander... they are the only scoobs! They was there from the beginning... so the natuarly are the only scoobies! the core four!

the real scoobies are Buffy, Willow, Xander, Cordelia and Oz.

Giles is buffy's watcher and even though he was always helping and fighting he's a bit too old to be a scoobie. I think the scoobie thing had a lot to do with age-groups as well and the gang were thought of more as scoobies when they were all still at school.

Angel always was always around and helped but was too old to fit in with willow, xander etc. so he never really hung around with them for too long. He helped because he was in love with buffy and wanted to look out for her and watch her back.

Even though Cordy is on Angel now, she was still a scoobie. Even though she was a bitch and was always insulting everyone, she still was always there and always helped even before she got involved with Xander.

I'd have to say that Buffy, Willow, and Xander are the original Scoobies, that's a given. Then Cordelia kept getting pushed into the mix and decided to help out, before AND after Xander. Oz also got pushed becasue of Willow, but he definately still did work. I mean, not all boyfriends do EVERYTHING with their girlfriends, so I think of Oz as a Scooby. Anya, just like Cordelia, wasn't a Scooby at first. She was just Xander's girlfriend. She didn't go to all of the Scooby meetings. but by season 5, she became an official member. The same is true for Tara. She wasnt vital at first, but became an official Scooby during Season 5.

As for Spike, Angel, and Riley, they were in and out, mostly just doing their own thing. They weren't part of the core group. Dawn was pushed in becasue she's Buffy's sister. Although she has started to do more and more research, she isnt a core member. Neither is Giles. even though Giles is alwasy around, he's more of the father figure. When I think of the Scoobs, I think of the group of friends that do research AND hang out together when the world isn't in peril.

Willow, Xander and Giles first off.

Then Oz, because he still helped fight evil in "The Wish" even though he technically didn't know anybody in the Scoobies.

Tara became a Scooby I would say around the beginning of season five... full-fledge Scooby in the one about her horrible family.

Everybody else were "Slayerettes"
