I couldn't think of a better title for this thread.

I'm not sure if a thread like this is around but after a short conversation I had with [MENTION=8404]Blaze[/MENTION] in the "haters" thread I thought it would be fun to see others preferences. So yeah I am starting this thread to talk about or just state your preferred ships in disputed love triangles like; Edward and Jacob, Damon and Stefan, Eric and Bill, Peeta and Gale, etc. We all know how divided things like this can get so I thought it would be fun to steer the conversation away from the always popular Spuffy vs Bangel arguments.

Apart from B/A I don't really have any other ships, just couples in which I really like one of the characters in that relationship. Of those, I really enjoy Pacey/Joey from Dawson's Creek, Rachel/Ross, Jax/Tara from Sons of Anarchy, Josh/Donna from West Wing, and Tim/Lyla from Friday Night Lights.

*sigh* Friday Night Lights.... I miss that show so much. Easily in my top 5 favorite shows of all time. However, I wasn't the biggest fan of Tim and Lyla. They were okay, but not my favorite.

I know, I'm so jealous! I only stated watching SOA last week (just starting S3 tonight- Thank you, Netflix). I can't wait to catch up. I could take or leave Tara.. but Jax. Merciful God, a thousand times Jackson Teller.

FNL is top 5 for me, too. Tim Riggins is absolutely everything.

I finally caught up on Parenthood and I loved watching and seeing so many of the FNL cast turn up in it.

And I do like Katniss/Peeta from The Hunger Games. In the books that is, I'm not sure about the movies yet. Josh Hutcherson kinda annoyed me in the first one, I feel like he was the only one that was miscast. But time will tell I guess 🙂

I really disliked Peeta in the movie too. I dunno if he was miscast, but I think they didn't adapt his character well. To me Josh looks the role, and he's a decent actor but something about his character is meh. He lacked the sincerity and charisma he had in the book. In fact, I saw the movie before reading the book and I had the completely wrong impression of the character.

I agree. I don't think Josh is a particularly bad actor either. I dunno, I just remember watching the movie for the first time and thinking "That's not my Peeta!" He was just off somehow.

I wanna add Audrey/Duke from Haven to my list. I find Nathan annoying, Duke is so much better...sometimes I still want to call him Jesse (as in from Buffy 😉 ) haha. And it did amuse me that the actor who played his father in an episode was Paul from Dollhouse. Nice little Jossverse-ish connections there 😉 🙂

The big ones for me are Jack and Kate from LOST (I'll love them till' the day I die) and Clark and Lana from Smallville. Those two, along with Buffy and Angel, had a pretty big impact on me growing up.

If I'm going beyond the realms of television, Batman and Talia from the comics is a big one, even if that seems pretty extinct as things stand now.

Sorry, I can't help it! hehe. I've never really been a fan of the whole "love at first sight" sort of relationships. I always seem to go for the "other guy". It's not like I do it deliberately, I just wind up liking them more. I have often wondered what it is that makes me pull for the other guy more often than not. I guess maybe I enjoy the progression of relationships like Sookie/Eric etc. I find them more interesting.

And okay, if I'm completely honest? Alexander Skarsgard and Ian Somerhalder are so very pretty. I don't find Paul Wesley or Stephen Moyer attractive at all. I can be horribly shallow sometimes when it comes to my tv viewing unfortunately, haha.

Also, its not that I don't like characters like Bill and Gale etc. I love Bill....when he isn't with Sookie. I love him all dark and crazy, its so much better than when he is all "Sookeh, I luvvv you..." haha. And I adore his relationship with Jessica 🙂 And whilst I don't prefer those relationships, I can appreciate them and I have no problem with people who like them. It's all part of the bigger story, which is what draws me to a show in the first place. So I can quite happily sit back and enjoy an Audrey/Nathan scene and accept it with out throwing a tantrum....mostly 😉

Haha see, I'm like the opposite. I generally fall for the original couples lol. Although I am starting to get ok with Damon and Elena being together, I think Elena being a witch all season helped though. Is a Caroline and Stefan coupling out of the realm possibility? Oh and the "Sookeh" I can hear it perfectly haha.
