I wouldn't think you'd scare anyone off...I've been talking in the third person a lot lately and no one seems freaked 😀 Besides once they get to know you, they'll realize how cool you are 😛

One of the best ways to get to know people you probably didn't interact with much before is to get sorted into one of the houses! If you're lucky you'll get sorted into Cordelia's house 😛
 
Yes Cordelia its a great why to get to know pepole I got to know Willow02 pretty well form geting sorted. As I also get to know some of the outher pepole in my house. And Maybe you can be sorted into my house too.

Specifically, I fancy Prophecy Girl and Cordelia. They seem like bottomless souls that merit serious spelunking. Generally? Anyone who will humor me by pretending I'm humorous and hunky. So, okay, I'm easy. I'll own that much.
 
anyone--I'v pmed a couple of people(I been talkin to one alot in particular)but I suppose I'm :turkey: or something-- and doesnt help that I'm shy and spurt out stupid stuff once in a while--thats just me ::crying2:

It's funny how people are less shy on the internet, like they can be themselves and not be afraid. But for some odd reason, that doesn't work for me. I'm like sweating after posting, hoping no one will hate me or something like that.

I'll see if I can work on that being obnoxious thing. 😛

I'm like that too, especially since I'm not great at English.. But I try to overcome my shyness and it's working ok, I'm getting better at it, posting without being all nervous and stuff..

Yeah, it's those issues with the english language.

Hey, it's only a Bulletin Board. I just about speak most of one language, so it's pretty cool to see people who speak a few. We'll understand what you mean, and if we don't we'll ask. 😀

I love the Internet because I have a rather severe inability to express myself in the real world. The internet offers me a way to get all that crap out of my system with the safety of knowing that I'll probably never meet any of you. It's great, I get to be me without having to worry about repurcussions. (Heh, it's also ironic that people who are essentially strangers en up knowing more about me than my family.) So I don't get nervous about posting. Somehow PM's can have that effect on me occasionally though...
 
If I'm writing in swedish, I'm much of a ranter just as you Jill 😉

Pages up and pages down with just about anything but mostly crap that needs to get out of my system.
But in english I'm damning myself all the time for not remembering that word that is so much needed to express something in particular. Sometimes I look in the dictionary but that slows the flow down. So usually I just make things a little bit more simple by using words I do know.

I'm also good at holding monologs over the phone.

PM's are a bit scary, but... Nice.
 
What bothers me is that people don't seem to understand me. They do understand but I can't explain exactly what I mean since I don't know the more difficult words that can be very useful.

I'm still afraid of making a fool out of myself, even though I won't meet any of you. But I canät let that keep me from posting, I answer to questions I don't know the answer to at all, and I make up some weird theory and then I have to defend it to everyone who really know what they're talking about..
