Who had the strongest Big Bad: Angel or Buffy

Perhaps to kick the discussion off you might want to list what 'big bad' you liked the best and why they were better than those in Angel or Buffy.

It depends on how you look at it, I think that the Big Bads in Buffy were more of a physical presence but at the end of each season each one was killed. In Angel though, the Big Bad of Wolfram and Hart was omnipresent throughout the whole series, even in Pylea. Many of Angel's Big Bads had a more mental and psychological presence and affected Angel in different ways. I liked the Buffy Big Bads better though, especially Glory and her whole persona.
Glory becuase she was a GOD she was so powerful all the villains on the Buffverse 🙂
And an example why buffy had the strongest big bads because Faith done some moves on The beast . But Then she goes to season 7 of Buffy , she totally gets Brayed by Celeb 🙂 .. And plus the first is alot stronger then Wolfram and heart . Because the First evil begun when the earth was created 🙂

That is one of the things I love about Wolfram & Hart, each season in Buffy you got a new big bad but in Angel from the start you had Wolfram & Hart, they were everywhere and in everything and even when other big bad types emerged they still had something to do with it in some way or form.
There is still so much that we don't know about Wolfram & Hart so who is to say that the Senior Partners never had any connection to The First.
I think it is pretty clear who my vote goes to 😉

I agree with Faith, W&H were Angel's archnemeseses...es. They were an omnipresent force throughout the whole series and Angel couldn't get away from them. I liked that thread that ran through all of the seasons like that.

The most powerful Big Bad that Buffy had direct head to head contact with was Glory, and she could have wiped up the floor with either Jasmine, Hamilton, or the Beast, who were the most powerful beings that Angel ever faced. (I ruled out both the Senior Partners and the First Evil simply because there was never any direct combat with either, only with their minions.)

I got the impression that Cordelia never saw her parents much, i would have been interested in seeing them tho, as i enjoyed seeing everyone elses family... especially Xander... and his Aunt Carol.

The First one, who was obviously the alpha male of the tribe, was really bad. The others weren't nearly as bad as him. Little baby Slayers killed them by the dozens, even before Spike's amulet kicked in.
Well this is a hard question considering ANGEL's exaggeration of strength. It was rather ridiculous. Suddenly Vampires can levitate, and send people flying through walls. Oh and in like the last one where Gunn takes on that whole room of vamps when they were sometimes worried about Buffy the SLAYER taking on two or three at once. Pleaseee.

Overall Angel had more big hitters. The Beast, Jasmine and Hamilton. The only people Buffy has that can compare are Glory and Caleb. Adam too I guess...if he just tries to blow up Hamilton. Who knows how that'd work.
Buffy's first couple adversaries were vampires. Strong ones but still just vampires. They can't compete with higher demons or beings. Demon Mayor is iffy...some say he wasn't at full power as he needed to dine on teenagers and never got the chance. And Dark Willow has a limit to her power and was only as big a threat as she was due to Plot Device.
So overall Glory > them all but Angel had more beings around her level.

You are forgeting the first ever Turok Han he was badass ,The beast wasnt that good Angel brayed the beast so nearly Faith did.Willow beated Jasmine whislt she was in Angel.Hamlington wasnt that stronger then Caleb becasue one punch of Caleb blasted Buffy flew across the room and knocked her out and also see how easy Caleb knocked out Angel !!Glory is a god ,Dark Willow is not limited of her power in season 7 she grow remerber she won over Jasmine.I think the Turok Han would kill Angel becasue see what is did to Buffy and Buffy is alot stronger then Angel.

Angels like Buffy. He may not fight the best or be the strongest but he always finds a way to win. Definetly beat a tk.

But Angel was weaker in s2 v kendra, by the time it was ats s4(around turok an time) he was stronger and a better fighter. Buffy might be stronger, not miles stronger, but Angel would destroy 1 turok an easy.

^^^^ Buffy is miles stronger then Angel . See whant the the frist Turok Han did to Buffy nearlly killed her ,If Angel weaker then buffy i say good bye to Angel . Angel would not killed the first Turok Han easily He would get more damage then what the Turok Han did to Buffy .
