Kids are truly amazing. I never really wanted kids until I was told that I may not be able to have them. By the grace of the PTB and the almighty metaformin I did get pregnant. I can honestly say that giving birth is a feeling like no other in this world. Riding the emotional roller coaster for 9 months, feeling this little person move inside of you and wondering what their gonna look like for 9 months. Then you get that first look at their little faces for the first time and it's so overwhelming, but in a good way. I think I cried for like 20 minutes after my daughter was born, not from pain or anything, just from joy and relief.
Now, she amazes me everyday with the new things she learns. The little things that she will say and do, it's incredible. Just a year ago she was this tiny little baby that totally depended on me for everything, and now she's coming into her own. Slowly, she depends on me for less and less. If I open the pantry, she will reach in and get her Care Bear fruit snacks off the shelf. She wants to wash her own face in the bath and if she has a runny nose, she wants to wipe it by herself too. *sigh*
Sorry, I went off on a little rant there.
