Who here agrees w/ me that S1 is the best season in AtS?

I was just thinking, and I don't know if you guys agree with me, but I notice that Angel Seasons get worse and worse. It's not that I'm flaming the writers or anything, it's just to I enjoyed season one a lot especially w/ episiodes like:

In the Dark
I Will Remember You
Heroes
Five By Five
Sanctuary
To Shanshu in L.A.

Ever season, the story lines are good, yeah, but the episodes are getting less and less enjoyable until it has no plot at all. I'm not sure about what's going to happen in Season Five since James Marsters is going to be there, but I just wanted to see if you guys feel the same way.

I feel that Season 4 is the best, it has dealt with alot, it has been a whole new programme this season. I have loved it, Season 1 and 3 are close behind though!!!

I guess I'm opposite girl, because I keep enjoying Angel more and more. Yeah, Season one was good, but I think it gradually got better and better. And Season four was awesome!! I loved just about every episode. Can't wait to see what they do for Season 5.
 
Although I liked season one due to Doyle and the general goings on, i much prefered season 2. The simple reason for me, is that there was more of my evil lawyer boy and we even got to see him sing!
 
Season four was my favorite, but I really like season one as well 🙂 It had a lot of great episodes--City Of, Hero, Parting Gifts, I Will Remember You, and Five By Five/Sanctuary.
 
I think that the 4th season and the 2nd season are the best... but i like the 1st and the 3rd too.

I totally agree with you Althea, I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks this way. I think the Angel show gets worse every year, and I think it started going downhill in season 3, we got happy daddy Angel, and later on brat boy Connor, Darla had to go, in her place we got the annoying Fred who became a regular, the start of Angel and Cordy's "thang", and I saw no chemistry there other than friends, and I won't even talk about season 4 it was so bad, convuluted plots galore, the mission statement of the show used to be Angel's redemption, helping the helpless, eventually it was just a bad night time soap. I am looking forward to season 5, I've read in many places that they are revamping the show and adding Spike as a regular, partly to help those falling ratings that were caused by others thinking like we did. I hope it works out, I do love Spike, he should help the show.

My fave seasons were seasons 1 and 2, they were both great
 
S1 and S4 are great....I can't choose which one is my favorite...cause they both are...aww I miss Doyle.
 
I agree w/ you Althea. I definitely think 1 was best and it kept going down. I loved Doyle, and the Buffy crossovers that season. I didn't like how Cordy and Angel got together later, its kinda weird. I always like when Angelus comes out though.
 
I Think my favourite season's are season 1 & 4 i just really loved for for crossovers and gwen and gunn & gwen and faith ofcourse and evil cordy hehe and season 1 for every week a new monster and bitchy snobby cordy
 
i loved season 1 but i wouldn't say the other seasons are bad

i loved season 4 with the whole faith having to kick angel's bad ass butt ::evil1:: with all those matrix moves...very kewl

i love fred from the recent seasons i think she's so adorable

I definitely thought that season 1 was the best season!
 
angel season 1 is by far the best, Angel developed a sence of humor during the third season, which is good of course but it suited him bieng brudy. Plus has anyone noticed that the show are more about the main characters than helping the helpless
