Who in the Buffyverse had the most overdramatic love life?

Over-dramatic? Buffy, no doubt. To explain why I'd need to give a synopsis of all seven seasons and there's lots of those on the net already. So please save me time and effort and check one out 🙂.

Obviously it's Buffy. Please, when one of your boyfriends gets to celebrate his bicentennial, then it makes all other relationships seem....normal. 🙂

Okay, at the risk of possibly disagreeing with Jodast (which, for those who aren't aware, is an incredibly rare occurrence), I don't think any of the relationships ever really reached a point where they were "over dramatic" to the stage that they weren't enjoyable. And for me especially, come on, just about everything Buffy did was gold. Seriously, I pretty much lived and died with Buffy (I wasn't super into Riley, but other than him...).

Are Buffy/Angel and Buffy/Spike heavy on the drama? For sure, but I always thought it was well done, right up until the end. I LOVED Buffy and Angel together, and I really liked Buffy and Spike. There's a lot of drama, yeah, but I always thought there was such incredible passion there (oh boy, gushing again) that I was always into it.

Are there any truly "over dramatic" relationships in the Buffyverse? The only one that comes close for me is Angel/Darla, but I still liked it a lot.

Definitely Buffy. There was never a single moment in any of her relationships that didn't have drama in it.
 
I'm going to be completely different here and say Xander.

Firstly he falls for Buffy, which is understandable, but while he's in love with her his best friend is in love with him and he doesnt notice. Putting that aside while all this is happening he is attracted to a demon teacher and nearly gets eaten. Then he ends up dating Cordy, a girl he's hated for most of his life. When that goes well he then starts an affair with his best friend whose loved him for years. After that he starts dating Anya, a vengence demon. When their about to get married he calls it off. He tries it on with yet one more demon before (I believe, I've not read the comics though) he ends up with Dawn, the sister of the first girl he fell in love with.

I'd say that was pretty dramatic.
 
Spike. Getting a soul for the sake of a girl who doesn't like him anyway should be enough to qualify him even without considering the rest of his history.
 
1) Spike. He mopes about and writes poetry for a girl who isn't interested as a human, then he becomes a total badass evil vamp who spends a century mercilessly killing to keep Dru's attention; only to drop all that and get a soul in an attempt to be the "man" Buffy deserves.

2) Buffy. There was more than enough romantic drama between Angel and Spike to last a hundred life times.
 
uh... duh!! buffy! i mean she meets a nice handsome guy, tall dark then when she first kisses him he turns out to be a vampire, THEN she finds out he was once a really evil guy, THEN, she sleeps with him only for him to lose his soul and become an complete arse and torment her and her friends and even killing her watchers girlfriend,

THEN, knowing you have no choice but to kill your one true love.

THEN,trying to move on with it only to find out he has come back from hell.

THEN, having him leave and having to cope with that.

THEN, finding a nice normal guy, who turns out to be a soldier who catches demons but other then that, a nice normal guy, only for cracks to form and him leaving, and then returning married.

THEN, sinking into a deep depression and sleeping with a guy who used to be your enemy and who's arse you used to kick.

THEN, becoming a single lady who doesn't quite know what she wants from love and can you blame the poor girl?

ITA with Xander!! Don't forget about Inca Mummy Girl! Also, in the comics,
he falls in love with one of the slayers & she gets killed. Plus he & Buffy are close & she comes on to him because she's lonely but he's already with Dawn
