Well I guess thats her opinion, she like whoever she wants too however for me when it comes to Lestat it has to be Tom Cruise.
Plus there is no need to say sorry Sexy_Babe it's up to you who you like
 
I prefered Tom as Lestat. I think he pulled it off pretty well. Definately the better actor of the two in my eyes...but DAMN is ST just INSANELY beautiful in the rose pettal bath...I always need a napkin when I watch that scene...and how bout that Deftones song...woo-hoo!

I just can't think of them as the same character and I can thoughly enjoy both films. 🙂
 
Yeh that was the problem with Queen of the damned they used a completley different actor as Lestat. So you like could not imagine Stuart Townsend as Lestat.
But okay if you imagine you are going to make Queen of the damned which actor would you choose?
 
I said Tom Cruise, mostly because he looks more like the lestat i pictured in my head while reading the books, but stewart townsend did better with the accent.....I think they were both respective roles, but I hafta stick w/ the "original lestat"
 
Between the two I would still pick Tom. I think his acting is better for one. And when I think Lestat I would imagine the way Tom played it as being the more accurate of the two. I like to think of vampires being as sexual as ST played it but it just didn't do the character from the books the proper justice.
 
What about the accent that Tom Cruise did in Interview with the vampire?
I think that it was okay, the time Tom Cruise did the accent the best was in the end where he says
Lestat: Oh Louie, Louie, Still whining Louie, have you heard enough? I've had to listen to that for centuries. (He smiles.) Don't be afraid I'm going to give you the choice I never had.
He sounds french then especially when he says whining with a kinda q sound at the beginning.
Overall I thought he was fine

i voted tom C. cos i liked the first movie the best!(not that the second was bad.. cos it wasn't but stiภ😉)
 
yeah, the first stuck to the plot line of the chronicles alot better. QotD tried to combine the second and third novels together, but did it really make anyone else made that they didn't include Louis in the movie?! I mean, Louis was suposed to be up on the stage fighting w/ lestat, not Marius....that was a pivital point in the chronicles! and the fact that Marius created Lestat!? All wrong! *goes off on a temper tantrum* Stupid writers and not getting the plot lines right!!!!!!
