who is angel's love?

lol! Did you find her annoying or something? I know she was a little cranky in Sanctuary.
 
As many other of the users here have said, I'm going to say Buffy and Angel are the right match. They had the chemisty, they had the passion, but that doesn't mean they are perfect for eachother. Angel is 100% wrong for Buffy, and that is exactly why Joss Whedon loved them together. They are my favorite couple of BtVS/AtS history, and I think they will always be the most popular match for WhedonVerse. Their relationship keeps coming back up throughout the seasons, I believe, for a reason. Because the fans love them together.

But that doesn't mean, of course, that Buffy is Angel's only love, as we have seen. He did love Cordy and he did care for Nina, but in different ways, of course. And the same goes for Buffy with her multiple relationships.

I will always root for the Bangel relationship 🙂

I really liked Angel and Cordelia together. Bangel is fine, I guess, but I just never really got into it.
 
it's an old thread but i'm new so i'm going to add my two cents:

I really liked the idea of Cordelia and Angel, and was really hoping they would get together. (I think if she could somehow come back from the dead then they might have a chance.) That said i think that angel thinks his true love is Buffy even though it is obvious that he uses her as a crutch, a safe alternative to actually having a relationship until he starts seeing Nina.

Angel mourned Buffy's death, dealt with it and moved on. When she returned from the dead he saw her offscreen but returned to the hotel with a renewed incentive to do his work. He showed no evidence of pineing for Buffy, on the contrary, He was way less broody and his feelings for cordy begin to intensify. His appearance in sunnydale at the end of Buffy season 7 does nothing to convince me he 'in love' with buffy. All he wants to do is talk about Spike! in season 5 its only when cordy is in the coma and spike returns that Angel remembers that 'oh yeah, that's right, i'm in love with Buffy'. It is more about his competativeness with Spike than his great love for Buffy.

One of the reasons I don't like season three too much. This is the first year that Angel wasn't on the same network as Buffy so they were told the less you mention the name 'Buffy' the better, as stated by David Greenwalt (think it was Greenwalt) on the DVDs. So they were forced to have Angel get over Buffy rather quickly, at least that's what I heard and I'm buying it! 😛
Anyway Buffy was always in Angel's heart, and not just in the first love sense, I think this is shown when Angel says her name as he climaxes in Season4 dreaming about Cordy. Yeah I know my theory has holes, but I don't care. 😉
 
I think he is a two timing arse!! He doesnt know what he wants!

i mean he was in LA claiming to love Cordy and then goes off to Sunnydale to give Buffy the amulet and tries it on with her!

Least Spike was loyal!
 
Angel's love is Cordelia! They were so sweet together! She should be alive again! She wasn't human anymore so there is many ways to take her back. But we have to wait... 'After the fall' is coming 😀 🙂
 
The first time around watching Buffy and Angel I would have said the two belonged together. But after seeing them god knows how many times now.. I think I like Angel + Cordy together more , and then of course Buffy + Spike. There just seemed to be a little more emotion between the couples that way.
