The age old question is always who is the best match for Buffy, but I'm curious. Who do you think is the best match for Angel? You can take the comics into consideration or not, it's up to you. 🙂
 
Cordelia!!!

Cordelia made him smile. She made him happy. When he was in LA with her and Wesley (his family) he was happy. She brings out the best in him which is what the person you're with should do. He loved her so much its too painful for him to talk about her and she gave up everything to fight with him.

Cordelia, hands down. She makes him smile and I just love that she won't stand for any of his brooding BS. They really bring out the best in each other. Though I was a bit worried when I first heard that Cordy and Angel were going to hook up because when friends start dating it's often really forced and kinda icky, but Cangel made it work 😀

I voted for Nina both to cancel Miss K's vote out and because I think that, from the few times that we actually saw them together, that she would have been capable of giving Angel something that Buffy, Cordy, Darla, of Faith never could have. A little happiness and laughter. She just impressed me as being a person who would be fun to be around, and who could make even Ol' Broody smile, or, dare we hope, actually laugh out loud. Buffy spent more time crying when she was with Angel than laughing, and Cordy, though she could inject a little humor into the moment, just never to do any better than Buffy had at making Angel actually enjoy something. Remember the last thing that Angel told Nina in "Not Fade Away?" If he lived through the battle, he would come for her. He was actually go someplace fun, if only for a short visit.

I have always believed that, if there had actually been a televised Season 6 for Angel, his relationship with Nina would have become much more intimate, and, as I said before, we might have actually seen Angel smile or laugh out loud.

Plus the fact that he could make whoopee with her without wanting to destroy the world the next morning. That's GOTTA count for something.

Yeah, but he was just faking it with her. He was sincere with Nina. Besides, Angel prefers blonds.
I'm a little on the fence about this topic because I was debating between Buffy and Cordelia. I am a big Cangel fan but I do think Bangel was a great couple also despite the pain they inflicted on each other without really meaning to. But as hard as it was to choose, I ended up choosing Cordy. As stated before, Cordy made Angel smile laugh and just be a more 'adorable' person. I don't know, when he gave Cordy clothes in season 2 to make her forgive him, he was just so cute in his happiness. So, I had to choose Cordy.
