Who is the best person for Cordelia?

What do you think is the best person for Cordelia?

No contest in my book...Angel! :heart: He just gets Cordy. He gets her humor ("I thought it was funny"), he gets her fashion taste ("You have like a gay man's taste"), and he loves her for the woman she is and the champion she becomes. As Cordy helped Angel on his mission, Angel helped Cordy find a purpose. Two heroes who recognize their mutual fate. 😉 Watching Cangel become best friends and heroes, who then develop romantic feelings for each other was so natural to me. It didn't feel forced at all.

I think Doyle and Cordelia had some of the best chemistry I've seen between two characters on a tv show ever. True it didn't last long, but that almost makes it more incredible that people still talk about it and ship them so hard after only 9 episodes.
 
Angel. Although, I do really love Cordelia and Xander's relationship that they had in high school, I've grown to like Cordelia and Angel's relationship more as I've been rewatching episodes in season 3. Their relationship has just developed so much throughout the series and they have been through so much together. And I couldn't really see Cordelia in a serious relationship with anyone else but Angel because of that.
 
Xander. He brings the sexy girl out of her with all the locker kissage!! 😀 I think grown up Xander would be great with grown up Cordelia and a wonderful contrast to what they used to be in high school.
 
Angel. Definitely. No one else could have ever brought out such greatness in her like he did. And vice-versa.

Seriously can't choose between Angel and Doyle.

I've been having an internal debate for the last five minutes and I give up!

Angel and cordy make a cute couple it would have been nice to see them both happy together although doyle was a close second
 
Cordelia/Xander - Every time I see someone say how they were perfect for each other and how sad it was that Cordelia dumped him for good, I get angry. I'm sorry, but no; Xander cheated on Cordelia, I don't see how someone can watch that arc and still think Xander is the best choice for Cordelia. She deserves better than to be treated like that. Plus, I never got the feeling that Xander actually loved Cordy. He liked her, yes, and lusted after her; but if he loved her the way she loved him he never would have been tempted to cheat in the first place.

Cordelia/Wesley - They were obviously lusted after each other in Buffy season 3, but that was all there was to it. It was so unimportant that it was a non-issue on Angel.

Cordelia/Doyle - I think this pairing had the potential to eventually become something great, but unfortunately Doyle's time was tragically cut short. I think it they both cared deeply about each other (although it took Cordy a bit longer to clue in on that), but only knowing each other for two months... I can't say that it was love. They never really had the chance to get to know each other, which just makes it even sadder.

Cordelia/Groo. I don't much care for this pairing. Groo was a great guy, but he never really felt liked he belonged outside of Pylea. He was alright for Cordelia; I mean, he obviously loved her. But as she was unknowingly trying to make him more like Angel... I just can't see this pairing working.

Cordelia/Angel - This is the pairing that I choose. They had attraction, trust and respect. Angel could be difficult at times, but she never hesitated to call him out on his crap. As their friendship/relationship evolved, she was always able to make him smile. He was always much more animated and full of life due to her presence. Not to mention, unlike with Bangel, he actually had a personality with Cordelia. Plus, Angel even took time away from brooding go out of his way to show Cordelia how much he cared. He lost his way when she was in a coma, and when she awoke you could see how much happier, better, he is when she is around. They made the best of friends, and had the makings of the best of lovers. Too bad they never really had a shot. Those damn Higher Powers can never just mind their own business.

I agree on all accounts.
Cordy belonged with Angel. I think it was very beautiful to see their friendship evolve and how they always supported and made each other better. I really believe they would've grown old together if things hadn't ended the way it did 🙁
 
Angel! They were so much better for each other than any of their other relationships (Including Bangel 😉).

Their relationship was realistic. They were good friends that had their feelings develop into something more. But of course, Joss will never let anyone on any show be truly happy in a relationship. He just has to pull the plug. 😉
 
This was hard, because my top three ships are Cangel, Xandelia, and Coyle, but anyway I picked Angel, but Doyle was great and Xander was very fun for the time it was around.
 
I badly wanted to vote for Angel, but I couldn't because of one word: Buffy. So instead, I chose someone else...maybe like Angel (or in the sense she becomes best friends with and then later that friendship evolves into love).

Xander was an idiot (though he is funny and has his moments).

Doyle would have been nice, but too bad we never got to find out. RIP to both Doyle and actor Glenn Quinn.

THIS. I basically couldn't stand Angel on BtVS, Cordy made me love him! She really did bring out the best of him. They were equals, complemented each other perfectly and their relationship felt real.
