This thread is intended for up through season six discusion, please! I do not want season seven to be spoiled, thank you!

Who do you think contains the most magics? There is that guy in season three, the guy who pretends to give back angels soul. Then there of course is willow, who is freaking insane wicca. Obviously brack(i think that is how you say it?) is far less powerful than willow, but perhaps on another hand, he could be most powerful due to the fact that he turned willow dark. THen there is giles, who was infact able to contain and over through (although brief) willow. Then there is that spidery looking thing that gives spike his soul back, and the gypsies that gave angle his soul. Then there is amy. God the list seems endless. Well who do you think is most powerful, and really think about it. Don't just half ass it! And please remember that this is for up to season six only! :: tu ::

Without a doubt Willow..She was constantly learning new things and she still hasn't end her journey of Magick.

I must agree about Willow...I mean honestly nobody is even close to having the amount of magick she has...

Willow deffinatly is the one with the most power! I don't really think Rack turned Willow to dark magicks, i think it was already there in her head to try it out. Bringing Buffy back from the dead was using very powerful and dark magicks and the fact that Willow succeded in doing that spell she probably thought that there was greater magicks she could deal with, that she could handle them all but in the end the dark magic swallowed her up when she couldn't bring Tara back to life.

Giles wasn't really using his own power - he doesn't have any alibities that Willow has or Tara for that matter, he was simply borrowing power that the Elders in the Coven gave him to detain Willow and hopefully make her see good again. They knew she would steal his power to reload her own, and when she did this she had a bit of good inside her again as the Covens power is that of good, nature and the actual real essence of magick.

Amy only inherited her power from her mother and she was very powerful but she was never in the spot light like Willow was, she could never step into it as Willow always outshone her. I think Amy had guts into turning herself into a rat - i know i wouldn't, anything but a rat lol, i think if she had the chance and the right training she could have been a great witch ad possibly could have beaten Willow to the spot light a couple of times.

Hmm..That'd have been v.interesting to see how Amy could have evolved..But I don't think she had any chance of being better than Willow..

Neither do i, i just think if she was given the chance and her powers were trained she could have done a lot of good and have been praised for it as much as Willow is praised for her good magicks.

I think it would have been a good storyline to follow up. 🙂

Do you even have to ask? Willow hands down. She was uber-poweful even before she went to the 'Darkside', and she was constantly learning new things and trying out new Magicks, always testing her strength and in the end...strengthing it. Even though there are alot of comparisons that were very powerful I highly doubt they could ever be as powerful as willow. First of all...

There was Amy- Amy was powerful and all, but she was too Power hungry and magick crazed. She was practically depending on it, the Magick ran her life. Which happened to Willow acouple of times, but in the end Willow learned how to Control Magick, and run her own life. Which I highly doubt Amy would ever be able to do, I just Don't think that her Will would strong enough, and in the end Willow was way more powerful 😀

Actually, I would say Xander was the most powerful because in the end he was the only one that could defeat Dark Willow without killing her. The Power of Love from his human heart is stronger than any darkness.

I gotta go with Blessed here. I think that Xander was the most powerful. He was able to overcome his personal issues in a constructive way, and in the end still have room to love an evil and twisted Willow. Then in turn save the world.

I was gonna say Willow until I read your post. Maybe Xander is the most powerful.
I thought I had an answer to this thread, but now you made me think again... 😉

Willow has the magic power, easy. When she hurt Osiris with her "sonic scream" thingy. That was awesome

First thing I thought of when I saw the topic title.

Ok...been thinking about this Xander thing...he did stop her without killing her, but would he have been able to do that if Giles hadn't come with his borrowed powers? He did it on purpose, knowing Willow would take his powers from him. I don't think Xander could have done it without Giles, and Giles couldn't have done it without Xander...I don't know...the more I think the more confused i get right now!

OK everyone i have decieded to settle this once and for all by holding a buffy/angel tournament where most of the characters in buffyverse compete against each other to become the slayerette champion of the buffyverse!!!

Go to the game of life forum, then to the buffy/angel tournament thread or click on the second link in my signature.

Ok...I think everyone was powerful in their own way because no one person is better than anyone else. Willow was strong magically without any darnkness as we further see in "Chosen." Buffy, a true warrior with all sorts of gifts, dealt with so much especially this season. She came back from Heaven. Which is a place beyond mortal comprehension. She had such a strong will to be able to survive and fufill her God given destiny. Xander was dealing with the whole Anya ordeal. He clearly wanted to help and used his personal feelings in a constructive way, like others have said before, and was able to save the world. So... I know people like to pick a definte winner but I'd say it's all perspective.
