My favorite character on Buffy is Buffy and my favorite character on Angel is Angel. I think they are both pretty cool people how they save people lives.They sare also My favorite couple on both shows. They are just the cutest couple ever.
 
I share the same opinion!

Buffy is a strong female hero, independent, learned to fight all kinds of obstacles and she always finds a way! I like that! She is a girl struggling to be part of her society, she is powerful both mentally and physically and she is very loyal. Also, she doesn't judge her friends.

Angel is a dark, tragic and romantic hero. He has an evil past, but he fights every day, every second actually to make it better. To save other people's souls. He is also a fighter and he will always fight even if the world is falling apart. Buffy was his inspiration to be a hero, she was his light. But he kept developing until he became a true Champion.

Buffy and Angel share a tragic, epic, eternal and unnatural love. They loved each other so much,that it had serious consequences. No matter whom they choose while they are apart, I can feel they are meant to be and will always try to find their way back to each other. Cause only them they feel complete.

They share some odd similarities despite the fact they seem to be very different.

She is a Slayer. She was called at the age of 15. She lost the innocence of childhood in a young age cause she had to fight vampires. Angel was sired at a young age too. And he became an evil, sadistic soulless demon. They are both each others' first and IMO truest and purest love. They are both fighters and they learned to put their love aside for the greater good.

(I love them both despite the fact writers or Joss whatever, made some serious changes in their characters.)
 
My favorite is Spike. And it's because:

He's hot (and knows it).
He's silly.
He's funny.
He's a bad boy (but you think he can be changed).
He's often immature yet very insightful at times.
He wear's cool clothes (but he shouldn't carry around that coat as a throphy.
He has a fascinating back story and story arc.
He saves people.
He has gotten his heart broken so many times, and that make me want to take care of him.

And so on.

Many of the things above can be very annoying, but if he was perfect, he wouldn't be Spike.
 
I love Lorne. It's the concept of the character for me(plus the flawless execution by the late, great Andy Hallett). You have a seabreeze sipping, cabaret singing, club owning, red-horned, green demon. What's not to love? I love the Pylea eps when Lorne talks about how his world has no music but that he always heard it in his head & thought he was going crazy, it's a nice allegory for so many things & it doesn't beat you over the head like others (Will's "magic" addiction, I'm looking at you) do. Some people don't like the fact that he remains neutral for so long, I respect it. I think that it comes from his ability to read people, he gets the fact that good or evil isn't about the person(or you know, demon). It's about the path that you're on.

On Buffy, my favorite character is Willow. She's been my favorite character since before I had seen the show (I loved the movie as a kid and played the video game, and loved Willow from there.) Willow is genuine, honest, trustworthy, intelligent, and... just the epitome of a best friend. Not much else needs to be said.

On Angel, my favorite character is Cordelia. I loved her on Buffy, unlike most people, but on Angel she was just a whole different person. While I hated her in Season 4, Season's 1, 2, 3, and 5 Cordy were the ultimate best. 🙂

My favorite character is Buffy and Angel, on her show and his show. I love to watch them fight off vampires and demons. I also think that they are the cutest couple ever. They are my favorite couple on both shows. Now if I had to only pick one person to be my favorite between both of them it would be Buffy.
 
Where's Anya???

I didn't vote because there wasn't an option for Anya. Considering she's been in the show since season 3....
 
I would've voted for Lilah and Anya if they were there. As it is I voted for Spike, Tara, Wesley, Lindsay, and Darla. Why? I love everything about Spike, his character arc throughout Buffy and how funny he is and...well, I could go on and on, and have many times here before. I love Tara because of how loyal she was, and how we got to watch her change from a meek little mouse of a girl to a strong and self-sufficient woman (just in time to kill her off, sigh). Wesley somehow went from being the dorkiest character in the Buffyverse to the coolest guy on Angel. I LOVED his whole performance in season 3 and he was the only character (besides Lilah) that I could stand in season 4. I loved his relationship with Lilah, their interactions, his being the first to truly understand all the shades of gray. Lindsay and Darla are just plain cool. I love their conflict, Lindsay's which came to him naturally, and Darla's because of carrying Connor's soul. I loved that she sacrificed herself for Connor, I loved how she knew she would forget what it was like to love him, and that that was unacceptable to her. She was truly a mother in that scene, and it broke my heart.
 
Spike. Always has been, always will be.

Why? That explanation would take more effort then I have right now, as I'm massively hung over.
 
My favorite characters were always the Big Bads, mainly because they seemed to be written and played with so much depth. On "Buffy," Mayor Wilkins was probably the most charming, witty, outgoing person that you would ever want to meet, and yet underneath all of that charm and good fellowship there was a cruel, soulless, conniving monster, drunk on power and lusting for more. I don't think for a second that he was portrayed that way and as a politician were coincidental.

On "Angel," my favorite Big Bad was the Beast, because he was exactly the opposite of Wilkins. Still evil, still powerful, but blatant about it. Powerful, destructive, ruthless, and nearly invulnerable, but, despike all of his power, totally subservient to his master.

Cordelia because, well... She's beautiful. She's funny. She's genuine. She tells it like it is. She doesn't take crap from anybody. She respects herself. She's intelligent. She has her priorities. She has amazing character evolution. She doesn't have a superiority complex, she just IS superior. And most of all, because she's Cordelia Chase. 😀

As for Darla, because she never gets old. Darla is never the same, yet always the same. One minute she'll be showing the almost TOO beautiful side of evil, and the next she'll be making the ultimate sacrifice. Always changing. Always exciting. Always Darla. She's the most unique character I've ever seen. 🙂
 
Mine is definitely Wesley! He changed more than anyone IMO. His story was so well done, and beautifully acted! I also love Cordy, Fred, Buffy, Xander, Angel, Faith, Connor. I love aspects of most characters and there are only a couple that I just don't like, but as they seem to be popular to some, I won't aggravate anyone. lol.

Cordelia, Wesley and Angel.

If there was the option I'd also pick Doyle because for a 9 episode character he made a hell of an impact.

in that order. Four of the best characters IMO especially Anya and Wesley. They evolve so much in the show.
