Who saw it coming???

So I was wondering who if anyone predicted that Angel would turn back into Angelus. We all knew he was a vicious vampire before he got his soul restored. Did anyone actually think he would lose his soul? I for one never saw it coming. Maybe I am just stupid but it never really crossed my mind. I am sure some people though figured it would happen.
 
Damn I so meant to put this in the Buffy Season 2 section. Not Angel Season 2. Sorry. If someone could move it please that would be appreciated. Thank you!!!!
 
I must admit, and its not that im just saying it for the thread, but i did. I didnt realise at the beginning that it would be giving Buffy some Luvvin that would do it but i knew that season two had to focus on Angel and him reverting to his old ways.......it was obvious....mainly because of his upgrade from guest to co-star.
 
When I watched season 2 the first time I wasn't a very active viewer so I didn't see it coming at all, because I didn't think about what would come next and stuff back then.. Now when I watch the season it just feels so obvious what's going to happen to him, but it's very easy to feel that way when you actually know what's going to happen also. eh.. yep.
 
Truthfully, I can't remember what I thought of it at the time... could be I did see it coming, cause the happiness-clause WAS explained on-screen before that, right?
 
I can't remember now if it was or not.....Jenny explained about it afterward, for sure, when she was telling Giles and Willow about her being sent there to keep an eye on Angel. I think they just alluded to it before, tho....Jenny's uncle says to her, something like, "He must not experience a moment of happiness!" Right?

Anyway, I knew something was going to happen with Angel, but I didn't see what form it would take coming at all.
 
It's always like that...you look back on the season afterwards and see clear-cut signs. For one, he was becoming a more involved character, and also him and Buffy got REEEEEALLY intense in the lead-up to it.
There was also the way his past was only briefly explored in Season One, like a 'we'll talk more on this later' kind of thing.
But I think for me it was that I was so emotionally involved with the whole thing that I didn't take a step back and work it out logically.
 
I can say I wa sin total shock!!! I was in shock when Faith came!!!!!!!!!! And even Kendra. I guess it was because I didn't understand Buffy as well as I do now.
 
I must admit it wasn't something I had thought about until the episodes leading up to him turning.

I think it's because we knew nothing about the Curse, until he turned! If we had known anything about the curse in season 1 or early season 2 then I think it would have been very easy for us to forsee, the change, but that wouldn't be very whendonesque!

I think the change in Angel needed to shock us viewers in order for us to sympathise with Buffy and dislike Angel.
 
When they stressed how evil Angel had been I assumed he'd most likely become evil again soon.
 
I saw it coming because i knew that buffy slept with the both of them
 
At the time I didn't see it coming, but looking back I should have realised it was. It's always common practice in any storyline that when something is perfect, and people are happy it needs to be destroyed. Unfortunately, drama and heartache bring in more viewers than happily ever after. I don't think Angel and Buffy's relationship would have kept as many fans had there been no problems in their relationship.
 
Psshhh...I sooooo saw it coming. Ok. That was a lie. ACtually I don't really remember. I don't think I saw it coming though. Either way it was an awesome story line.
 
It was one of those moments where it was a total shock to everyone, and then when you looked at it closely it didnt become such a shock anymore. It was expected!

I loved Angleus, he was cheeky! But i did shed a few tears when they returned his soul in Becoming Pt2!! Was oh so sweet!
 
I'm not sure If I can exactly remember but I'm pretty sure I knew somehow. I think it was mainly because things were going too good between them and all these shows have great twists, things that you won't see coming.

It's all coming back, I think. Yes! It is! I didn't exactly know he was going to return to Angelus but I did know something was going to happen to him and disrupt Bangel for a while!

Yes, that's it! Yeah, so it's safe to say I didn't know what was going to happen to Angel but I knew something would, hehe.
