Harrison Ford has said he’s hanging up his hat and whip after Indy 5. If they ever reboot the franchise (and the odds are on it at some point) who would you cast in the role? Can you see anyone else as Indy?

Because it was already revived anyway. The two most recent films both long after the 80s. I’m not saying I want more, but realistically it will probably happen at some point even if it’s 10 years from now.

Also can we please leave the sexism and politics out of this thread.We know full well that a woman can play this sort of a part just as well as a man, to suggest other wise makes you sound like a dinosaur. Besides Indiana isn’t gender specific so they would have you there🤣
 
Whoever it is, I think it should not be some muscular, super-hero type, because that wasn't Indy. Sometimes he just shot a guy because he couldn't be bothered to sword-fight him. It needs to be someone more "every-man" - or "every-woman," I could go for that, too. As long as they wear the hat!
 
This makes me feel like I should watch the original Indiana Jones at some point.

If you do. The original Indiana Jones is the second one, not the first one. The first one was retconned to be Indiana Jones.
 
The first one wasn't called Indiana Jones. It was just called Raiders of the Lost Ark. It was retroactively called Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. So the second film in the trilogy (which is also a prequel) is the first official Indiana Jones movie. But for pete's sake, don't start with that movie as it was rather lackluster. There are only two movies that you need to see. Raiders and Crusade. The others are, meh.

No, we don't. But this we doesn't really believe another male actor can play the part either. Henry Jones Junior = Harrison Ford. Period.
