Buffy should be with Angel. They are meant to be. They are soulmates. They still love each other. The Buffy and Spike relationship was just based on sex and not real love. The Angel and Cordy relationship is just plain wrong.

buffy and faith would be hella good tv...buffy deserves to be alone...she's too falkin nuts to hold a good relationship
 
I didnt like Buffy and Angel!

I liked Spike with Buffy. Maybe we could see more of them together, more naked Spike.
Maybe the camera could be a bit lower though!
 
Not at this point ... as I said, in the long run, they are most likely to grow old together!
 
I think that Buffy should be with Angel. They're meant to be together. Buffy never has and never will feel the same way about anyone else like she felt about Angel. They're soulmates!
 
It's obviously Spike! His love for her is true, and after all the work he did to get her he deserves her! Angel was great and all and she obviously loved him, but thier relationship just did not have the same fire as Buffy and Spike's does, and besides if Angel and Buffy were mean to be they wouldn't have broken up years ago and Angel wouldn't have left her.

I don't understand how anyone can possibly say Xander! I don't understand why Xander is even on the poll! I would rather see Buffy with *anyone* but Xander. Hasn't Xander already had *enough* women in love with him? Xander has already been with almost every main female character on the show, he does not need to be with Buffy as well! And Buffy has no interest in him!
 
I think how you vote has a lot to do with what your romantic ideal is. This is how I think the four choices can be categorized:

Angel--Written in the stars. Angel and Buffy were dastined to be together, it was fate. No matter what happens, the two of them will always love each other and belong together.

Spike--Passion and heat. This relationship seems to be full of heat, lots and lots of heat. Whether they're fighting or going at it, there's sparkage.

Riley--Boy meets girl. For the most part, this is boy notices girl, boy and girl date, they learn about each other, and feelings grow. Not really spectacular, but probably the most typical of real life.

Xander(not technically one of Buffy's boyfriend, but in the poll and why I decided to write this drivvel)--Friendship turns into love. Two people, who start out as friends and become really close, and find they care deeply for each other. They've been through a lot, and all that time as friends adds solidarity to the relationship.

So, I have always loved the idea of falling in love with my best friend, and actually got to do it in college. I haven't always liked the idea od Xander and Buffy, this is why I can get behind it now. Frankly, I think there's nothing more romantic then turning around and finding the one you can love is right there.

Does any of this make sense? Does anyone else see a relation between their ideal romance and which relationship of Buffy's they support?

Not true! It was only two (Anya and Willow) so really it's half of the female main characters.

And though Xander and Buffy together is not likely it would be an interesting way to end the show because it started with Xander loving Buffy.

And Cordy. If you count all the women who've been around for any decent amount of time, you get Buffy, Willow, Cordy, Anya, and we'll through in Dawn and Tara in there too. So out of six, he's been with three, we'll count Dawm's crush as a half, and Tara? I think she shouldn't count as an eligible choice for Xand, since she's gay. (We would also discount Willow, except she did go for Xander.)

Still, I like Xander and Buffy.
 
Xander and Buffy should end up, as Season 7 is rite bak to the beginnin and that is where Xander first fell for Buffy so it would make sense and be so sweet!!!!
