I completely agree. That said, I have a rather odd reply.

Ideally, it would be Angel.

BUT

Part of the appeal of them as a couple is the forbiddenness. The Lost Love thing. Romeo & Juliet.

So I voted Xander. I too love the idea of friendship becoming more, and have been in that situation. It's nowhere near as intense as the Spike or Angel chemistry, but it's just as important and it would last. Riley would work too in that aspect. I'd like to see Buffy *happy*, but still pining - make sense?

I'm no fun because I'd go for whatever they dished out to me... I'd even be okay with Spike if it was done in a certain way. 😛
 
I understand that eveyone wants Buffy and Spike to be together cause he loves her so much but what about Buffy......does she love him? How could Buffy treat Spike well if the love is only one sided. It would end up destroying both of them in the long run.

I have only seen a few episodes of Season 7 as i don't have Sky but is it showing Buffy loves Spike? Or does it show her caring for Spike..............they are two different things.
 
Angel all the way. But I agree w/ Buffster6. The whole Buffy/Spike thing was just passion and heat and love making.

Back to the subject. Angel and Buffy. They were meant to be since the first time they saw each other.

i think she should be with Angel b/c they did so much together and her and spike pretty much hate each other totally
 
i agree totally about xander
angel is her true soulmate
angel gave up more for her then spike ever did
he left sunnydale for her(the only place he ever felt any kind of happiness)
he gave humanity up for her
there are more but those two things exceed everything that spike has ever given up
 
I voted for Riley, he seemed to be the only stable person in her life, and seemed to be the one who made her the happiest. Except for when he started lettin vampire ho's suck on him, but whatever.
 
still have to go with Angel, soulmates yadda yadda yadda B/A to the end!

Spike!!!!!! Buffy and Spike's love is soo different than the Buffy/Angel relationship. Spike gave the ultimate sacrifice for Buffy to live and perhaps have a "normal" life. He just seems to be the best match for Buffy.
 
With Angel! For sure! Because Angel's love of her life... 😀

Spike and Buffy were great togather and I can't wait until Buffy finds out that he's back.
