Who should have ended up with Buffy

wow, so many good points, guys. And I have some more of my own, but later. Just one comment:

In "Chosen", yes, Buffy kisses Angel, but do you remember what she does after that? That's right, she comes back to Spike, to sleep together with him in his bed. They sleep (okay, Spike is asleep and Buffy can't) with Spike's arm covering her and her hand covers his. At the end, she chooses Spike.

Oh, and one more thing:
The last things Buffy says on the show is "I love you", and "Spike". I think it means something. I think Joss intended it to be like that. Yeah, it's the last thing Buffy says so it's important. So I believe she did love Spike at the end.

Ohhh exactly I totally agree with the last comment!! Buffy and Spike should have been together! Also, I loved in "Touched" when Spike gave buffy that whole speech about how she is the "one" and buffy told spike to just hold her all night. awwww lol. definitely one of my favorite spuffy moments.

I just couldnt get into Angel. He always seemed whiney to me. lol

A lot of the confusion here comes from the belief that Buffy told Angel that when she was done baking, she would be ready for him to enjoy her cookies. She said for SOMEBODY to enjoy them, and Angel, with his usual overinflated ego, just assumed that that "someone" would be him. Well, it might be. Or, it might be Spike. Or Xander (shudder) or Faith, or someone she hasn't even met yet. All that Buffy said was that she wasn't ready to make any kind of long term commitment yet, and maybe never would. Maybe someday though...

I believe that the greatest passion of her life at that point was Spike. Angel and Parker were really only one night stands, both of which ended badly. Riley...well, Riley just wasn't in the running there, he was just Buffy's attempt to have a normal relationship, which didn't end very well either, come to think of it. Granted, there was the attempted rape by Spike (I just KNOW someone's gonna bring that up, so I beat you to it) but the results of that and the events of Season7 pretty much settled that issue between them. Remember Buffy's "You can be a better man. You may not believe it, but I do. I do." speech? she didn't say, "You might have gotten your soul, but I still think of you as the man who tried to rape me." She didn't have him dis-invited into her home again like she had in Season 5. She didn't have his invitation into her home revoked again like she did in Season 5. Most importantly, even after the events in Seeing Red, she still trusted him enough to want him to protect Dawn. As I said at the beginning, there's no real way of knowing who will wind up with the "Buffy cookies" but barring the introduction of someone REALLY special in Season 8,my money's on Captain Peroxide, and I'm giving odds. Any takers?

About that kiss with Angel... it was just a "hallo", that's what Buffy said to Spike. so maybe it didn't mean anything. so it doesn't really matter (I know all the Bangels will shout right now that it did mean something) .And after that kiss, Buffy was back in Spike's arms, spending another night with him.

I agree mostly with this, except that the kiss obviously meant something. Buffy and Angel will always have that spark, but she has moved and so has he.

I always thought that Buffy and Faith would make a good pair, even when they were going to go out together Buffy said," but we're just good friends"
So maybe there was something there, would have made the stories of the childrens home a bit more interesting

I've always said that the only person other than Spike who could really make Buffy happy is Faith.
Personally I think that Buffy should have ended up with Spike. They were perfect together and I loved seeing her with him. As for Angel, I liked them together but I couldn't really see her with him in the long run.

In season 7 when Spike comes thru the front door and Buffy is coming down the stairs with the scythe, Spike says "hunny, you're home." I think after that I really could see him coming into their house and him saying it and it being real. Took me many watches to really feel it but this last time I saw it I did. I just thought it felt right.

See , now there's another tough question , heh , Im into both (Spike & Angel) there both great guy's , sorry , Im gonna have to hold my month on this one.

I have always had a hard time thinking of Angel and Buffy being truly in love with anyone other than each other; but I kind of think Angel really is Buffy's truest love, and nothing could change that, but their love is so tragic and difficult that no matter how intense their love is, they could never really work out together. It's kind of like Communism, you know, it sounds like a great theory maybe but it never works out in real life. I don't think I can ever accept Spike as Buffy's one true love, or that he loves her more than Angel does, or she loves him more than she loves Angel, but I think if she had to be with one of them, Spike and Buffy would have the best relationship because I don't think their story would be as tragic.

You are so right about (Spike & Buffy) that the two of them would never be able to share the love that (Angel & Buffy) shared together & will alway's , also your right about the fact that them together (Spike & Buffy) could not be tragic , that'd be great together , although , I do belive (Buffy) could never love anyone eles like she love'd (Angel) but I do belive (Spike) had true feeling's for (Buffy).
