I saw this poll on Buffyworld.com

I was just wondering what do you think, after this season it will be over, who should say the last line ever to be said in a Buffy episode. You can get any character to return just to say this last line, who would you want to say the last line!

Wouldn't it be cool if Joss Whedon did a walk-on as something like a passer-by, and delivered the last line of the last scene of the last episode.

I was thinking of that myself, I want him to have the last line, but I'm not sure wether they can fit Numfar into the story!

I voted for Willow, but I think it'll be Willow, Xander or Buffy. Ya gotta stick with the original scoobies!

Other options: Faith, Dawn, random new slayer.

And on a side note: Darla's dead. Hopefully for real this time.

I think the ending won't have anybody really say anything. I'm hoping a little for an ending, if everybody lives, of like Xander, Buffy and Willow hugging. Or something of that sweet sort. And obviously the last line of the episode, won't be in the last scene.

I was thinking of Clem too. It's weird, but he kind of reminds me of Porky Pig.

P-P-P-P That's all folks.

that's a really good question. i'd vote for buffy first off, but if not her, then i'd count on xander to say something sarcastic/funny

if there is a spinoff, i hope the next big back will say something...like clue that Tara say in Restless..."be back b4 dawn"

they should like give xander the last line cause it'll probably be the last lines we here of him as an actor...even though he's a good one...

if joss gets the last line...that would be totally selfish

I bet last line would be said by Andrew 😛 But I more want it to be said by Giles, Buffy, Xander and Willow together.

And on a side note: Darla's dead. Hopefully for real this time.

I know, but she did have the first line ever in Buffy!

I voted for other, I want Tara to do a voice over like in Restless!

it'll be good if Buffy was speaking over the scene like Angelus done in 'Passions' or 'Becomming' i just love Buffys speaches in season 7.

I voted for Buffy. I think it would be cool if she did a voice over and it shows her looking back over her whole life in Sunnydale right back to the early days when she was still at high school and angel was still around and because it is Sarah's show so she should get the last say.

Since when is it Sarah's show? Anyway, if they do a voice over, I think they should have at least Willow and Xander (Giles too) saying something in there as well; not just Buffy doing it. Voiceover is definitely one of my first choices; it always makes it seem so powerful.

the show is called Buffy the Vampire Slayer, sarah plays the part of Buffy, buffy is the protagonist and without her the show can't exist, if willow or Xander left the show could still go on, but until they change the name to something like Faith the Vampire Slayer, the show belongs to Sarah.

...anyway, the reason that i would prefer buffy to do the voice over on her own is because, again, even though the other characters are a very important part of the buffyverse and the show wouldn't be the same without them, the programme is mainly about buffy's life and with it being the end of the show she should get the last say, plus if more than one character done the voice over it probably wouldn't sound as good in my opinion and it wouldn't come across as powerful and "touching" as it should for the audience.
