Who was just recruited?

On my first page there are two paragraphs, the first starts with Welcome back.
The second paragraph ends with Buffy-Boards Scooby (members name) just recruited.....
unfortunately the name of who was recruited is in light blue lettering over the picture, many of the letters are on a white background and as such are unreadable.

If another line was created after the word recruited,
the new members name could be read.

I'm not sure about adding another line (I don't know what else we would say on a homepage, off the top of my head!) but if you're having trouble reading the links you could always switch to a different board style too. I have mine set to something a little darker for that reason-- the "basic" style is very readable, and I believe the AtS schemes are too.

As far as I know, it is The Watcher (6).
I suppose I could change the colour, but that doesn't seem important to me. Like the username or the avatar, I see no reason to change them.

How many other members have the same colour scheme? Do they have the same problem, as I wouldn't have thought I'd be the only one.

Well I suspect you're using a lower screen resolution, so the text is over the picture. The problem with changing it is that with wider screens, the text is on the black so a dark font wouldn't be readable.

I'll look into moving the placement of it when I have some time.

I haven't a clue what my screen resolution is. And to be honest, I wouldn't know how to see what it is.
I see the problem that could be created with various members having different colour schemes. Would it be possible to have that part of the page set in the colour scheme of your choice? At least then, if the writing does go over the picture the writing could be easily read.

No, the text color is set per style. And would look different on some styles if you have a very narrow screen resolution. My suggestion if it's important to you for the time being is to check out the other styles and see if there's one you find easier to read.
