A character has to die every season because it's so shocking and surprising <yawn> Who's next? Vote now and bask in your glory later clairvoyant one.
 
You should have added 'who cares?' option to this poll. (Buffy won't, for certain. There is S10 in the works.)

But that option is not clairvoyanty. I know that at this point nobody cares myself included but hey, we can pretend :)
I go with Andrew. He is a new character, more less, and firstly he was a villain, then returned to the good ones. He just getted important in season 7 because he brougth some freshness with his character. But after a certain time he gets boring if he doesn't make a character development I 'm sure Joss will use him to give us a new shock-moment. Joss is so evil, I pretend he will kill Andrew. I guess he will have a great last moment, for exapmle he rescue another person before an arrow or something like this. I love him but I think he will be the next one!
 
I really doubt either of the vamps will die. Angel is still supposed to play a huge role in the apocalypse. Spike is way too important to the series to be killed before the end. Buffy is also safe until the end, imo. Willow can't die since she was in the future. I don't think Andrew dying would have much impact, so not him.

It's gonna be between Xander, Dawn, Riley and Kennedy. I went with Dawn, because if the baby end up being Xander & Buffy's... Bander could happen in the long run and I'd be an happy man. 🙂

Of course it could also be another character we haven't even thought about.
 
I voted for Dawn. Maybe restoring magic somehow causes her to return to the key state or die.

Plus, her dying would cause a sad/dramatic impact without causing any real trouble for continuing the story.

I think Willow is going to use Dawn's keyness to bring back magic. And that would really make Buffy sad, thus make me sad. And poor Xander- can he even have a not-killed girlfriend?

I'm also worried that it's the baby- like a miscarriage or a stillbirth. Which would make Buffy & I incredibly sad as well. Unless its a mystical evil baby, then I'd be OK with it.

So yes dammit, I care! 😉
 
I am pretty certain Dawn is safe - by virtue of being almost ultimate 'want to be killed' character for so long. Joss only kills the characters whose death 'will resonate'. Dawn and Xander are there most likely to join Oz and his wife, Riley and his wife and other safely escaped moved to the background peeps. At least such as my feeling.
 
Either Dawn or Xander. Xander has been useless since season 5 and Dawn hasn't done anything since Season 7. These characters were decent in the beginning, (I liked Xander in seasons 1-4 and I thought Dawn was interesting in season 5) but they have been greatly overused, they need to go through some dramatic changes because they just bring down the quality of the show/comics
 
It will definitely be the baby. Well IMO, Riley, Kennedy, Xander, Dawn, aren't really main character like anymore. Considering who usually Joss picks off. It will most likely be the baby....kind of sad really. Why can't Buffy just be happy for once...she always get the short of the stick.

Angel and Spike are too weaved into the story to be expendable. The baby is a big story line with awwing results. So you can just tell...something is going to happen.
 
I voted other - meaning Simone. As for other major characters -as always you can use these polls to estimate whom the audience actually wishes dead, and that['s why this character is likely to survive. My bet is on Dawn surviving this season and the baby being born and alive. (Personally one character I wish dead is Andrew - but that's why I guess he will live.) I expect S9 to take a break from killing major characters and concentrate on cleaning up the extras from S8 ( Slayerettes, etc) and new villains. Major character will likely die again in S10.
 
Wouldn't it be great if, in order to appease Twilight, restore magic to the world, and get rid of all the zompires, Dawn, Xander, and Buffy's baby moved into the new universe, never to be seen or heard from again? That would solve the question of what to do with the baby AND get rid of a couple of increasingly superfluous characters, and no one would have to die.

In your dream, maybe . 🙂 This is Joss story - no one audience want dead ever dies - they get more stories instead. The likely deaders/moved to another universe candidates are always most celebrated ones. 🙂
 
I voted Andrew. Mostly because I'd be pretty sad if he died. And I'm sure Joss has some ridiculousway of making him die, so that even people that don't like him, are still saddened by it.
 
The more I think about it, the more likely it is Dawn. And while I like Andrew, I wouldn't be that sad over his death. His death won't be that tragic as say Dawn's.
