Question Who will die?

It's that time of the year, you know the drill et cetera et cetera. Sun is dead, vampires are hot, a major character dies every season, I mean with a line like this: Please. If there's anything cosmic out there that doesn't want to kill us...I haven't asked for much. And I've lost a lot. Don't let anymore people I love die because of me you just know that at the end of the season there will be a dead body ( or just some dust ) Buffy will be crying and it's going to be her fault. So place your bets. Oh and this isn't a popularity contest in reverse, I'm not asking who do you want to die? I'm asking who do you think will die? Learn the difference, it might save my thread.

I'm gonna guess: Character nobody cares about! 😱

Just by process of elimination really. No to Angel and Faith cause they have their own comic- I don't see either of them dying in Buffy's comic (unless its some sort of crossover thing but even then its too much of a risk...But if they do then it'll be Faith. 🙁)
No to Buffy because they really can't bring her back again without it being really weak 'comic book' death stuff. If she dies for a third time I'd imagine it will be for good.
Not Dawn, cause she almost died last season.
Not Giles cause he just got back.
No to Xander while they've got Nick Brendon writing him.
No to Andrew because you specifically weren't asking 'who do you want to die?' 🙂
Not Willow because she's just becoming a really interesting character ...although with the return of Amy they maybe decide to turn her all Dark Willow again with some kind of magic corruption storyline stuff. It's kinda weak but maybe its the reason she hasn't had a juicy plot arc yet, it depends.

There's a possibility that they may also turn Spike evil/souless for a while (I stress 'possibility' and 'a while' because of course he'll go back to normal) because they've already highlighted the importance of his soul in the last arc, and also the anger of the demon inside him in the arc before that.
Then it would of course turn out to be Buffy's fault- 'If only you'd loved him Buffy!', or ' If only you'd been more open about your feelings for him' or whatever
This wouldn't be a terribly surprising turn of events and of course would fit right in with the 'Buffy is doomed in love' theme that will never die apparently.

So, maybe somebody we don't care about that much The detective guy Dowling?, Kennedy, robot-Jonathan who's gone evil, Alistair or Nadira (from A&F), Billy (please god yes), K'oh or somebody else that I haven't thought of.

I hope I'm wrong and it is somebody of consequence who WON'T be brought back.
They need to make angst more prominant in the later story arcs (which have been a bit too cheery and pat to be honest) and make death mean something again.

To answer correctly, I should have some information that I have not.
It's this the last Buffy's season?
It's this the last A&F's season?

I exclude Willow (Frayverse anyone?) Giles has just come back and I don't think he will die anytime soon. Andrew? for me he goes in the category "Character nobody cares about" Dawn has almost died in the ninth season, so no. Xander, I didn't see anything in the current story that makes me think his death. Spike? (again?) Nope. Faith still has something to say, she is almost a character unexplored (IMO) so no. If this was the last season, I would go with Buffy and Angel.

So, I think I will go with Character nobody cares about 
Edit: ...and anyway, if someone must die, please write it well the scene. I mean,that this is at least a death with some pathos. If I think of the death of Illyria I want to cry, but not for the emotion, because it was a death written so bad that I have not tried the slightest emotion. Hello? It was the death of the great Illyria. But I think that Gage is good in these scenes, the Whistler's death was well written.

They killed Illyria? And it sucked? :O Damn! And to think, seeing her on the volume cover with Buffy very nearly persuaded me back into season 9.

I haven't read season 10, but I try to stay in the loop in regard to where the Scoobies are at. I've wanted Andrew dead since way back; but that's why I think he'll probably outlive everyone...that's including any resurrected, undead and/or immortal characters! 😵

Frayverse anyone?

I don't think that Frayverse is even a possibility anymore. There's this idea in BtVS that when Buffy lies to/keeps secrets from her friends bad things happen. It seems that Buffy finally understood this - she told Willow the truth about the future in season 8 and changed it, I think. I mean, it just doesn't make sense anymore. Frayverse is a dying world, there's no magic, no seed. In season 9 a new seed is born, it takes root thanks to Sev's juice and so there's magic in the world again. Like lots of it. For the Frayverse to happen someone would have to destroy the seed *again*. No seed, no Dawn so Buffy will die before she allows it happen, not to mention the army of demons, witches, demigods and whatnot that will show up to protect it. Willow's kinda invested as well, I'd imagine. Yeah, we already had one twilight ffs.

In my opinion Frayverse is the consequence of Willow keeping the power she received from the magic body thing for herself. She didn't do it though. She used it to give birth to a new seed. So I included her.

Yeah, same here but it seems that the writers do care about him - the wanker just refuses to go away. So I included him. Begrudgingly.

Personally, I kinda liked it. It was a good death, it served a purpose and dying in a big, freaking magic explosion? It's a cool way to die.

I don't think so. It just doesn't mesh with s9/wonderland stuff. I mean, there's no Dark Willow anymore, right? Willow uses dark magic all the time now too and she's fine. I think that Amy will simply join Angel again ( possibly after Willow curb stomps her ) because Angel needs a team. Bringing back Amy is easier than coming up with new characters.

Ok about Frayverse and I hope you're right, but I do not feel even to exclude it completely that arc. I feel that is not yet concluded.
Illyria: Nothing to say about the reasons of her death, was a noble death etc .. but it is the way in which it was written that I was not convinced me.

I hope TPTB they listen our prayers. Another story Angelus-like? Please no 🙁. How could never be interesting soulless Spike? Haven't we had enough for five long seasons?🙄 ...and then this souls-eats thing is died, and in any case Spike's soul was not even to his taste 😛
