What will be the outcome of Issue 9?

I'm just wondering who people think is/are going to survive No Future For You, Part IV? At the end of issue 8, I could feel a big slayer deathmatch coming up. And although there's always the chance that such a catfight is avoided, that chance seems small. So who do you think will survive Gigi or Faith, or will Buffy join in the fray and chop them both up? I'm also curious who you all hope survives.

Personally, I hope that both Faith and Gigi survive, and I'm pretty sure at least Faith will. I never really identified with the character much, but the way BKV writes her has made me re-appreciate her. And Gigi, well I guess I just have a big ol' crush 😉 cause even though I can't really pin-point what it is about her exactly, she just seems so cute to me.

Like I said, I think Faith will live because she's such a fan-favourite, but on the other hand, that might just mean she has a big bullseye on her 'cause it is Joss Whedon's Season Eight after all. I'm not so sure about Gigi, I'm afraid she is destined to meet a grim fate. If she is killed, I'm gonna put my money on Roden being the killer.
 
I'm not sure who, but given this is part of the world of all things Whedon we can count on *one* of them dying. And somehow I'm thinking, not Buffy. Call me crazy but it's just a hunch. haha. But I truly don't know which one will kick the bucket which is why I didn't vote haha.
Faith could be killed just because it would be all the more as,for as you said, she is a fan favorite and this is her last gig. Giles said once she did this, she would be free of all things responsibly Slayer. And it would be very tragic that before she even had the chance, she was killed.
Gigi could be killed though because well we haven't got to know her that much etc and it would be a shocking death without making too many people go 'oh for crying out loud' hehe
 
Killing off Faith would be one major character death too many in the Buffyverse if you ask me. There's just too much story left to tell there.

I like Allycat's idea of Roden kills Gigi. That ties things up nicely.

I'm hoping Roden gets it, but maybe they keep him around for a big battle later on.
 
I agree with you, that Faith dying would be one death too many. After all in one and a half year (in the series' timeline) Anya, Cordelia, Fred, and Wesley left us.
 
I think that Gigi is most likely going to die. I don't think that Faith will die because there is way to much left in that story. Buffy and Faith need to tie up some loose ends etc. I am thinking Faith will kill Gigi and hopefully it will prove to Buffy that she is still on her side.
 
If Joss kills Faith I'll kill HIM!!! Like everyone said..too many importantand loved characters have died for him to do that, and I think he wants Faith to get her reward...he's a sucker for redemption.
 
Faith tells Gigi to put down the axe. She does. Gigi kills Roden for no reason, joins slayers under Buffy's leadership. Then Oz returns and is vamped by Harmony. Vampire werewolf - the new big bad.
 
Gigi and Roden turn on each other, Gigi gets the upper hand and is about to kill Roden when Voll shows up and saves him.

Hmm, i think that theres a possibility that Gigi will die, but just to be on the safe side,i voted they both will survive, Gigi could become an arch-nemesises ... ses hehe
 
I don't think either will die.. or actually I just don't want either to die. Especially Faith of course, but does someone have to die to pay off the 'slayers battle to the death!!' thing? 😛 I'd prefer Roden dying, no ones really paying attention to him
 
Something just came to me. It would kinda follow through that Gigi would die because wasn't that the whole point of the mission Giles sent Faith on? I mean I know she things it was just a cover up for saving 'his golden girl', but if Buffy was in such danger wouldn't he have informed her? Maybe he new that Gigi was a mjor player for big bad evilness but wasn't too sharp on the details. Such as, you know, Buffy assassination.
With the axe swinging though at the end of the last issue Faith is obviously gonna a do a Giles/Bringers thing where she just swings around and catches the axe. A big fight is definitely gonna happen though- I mean Gigi isn't exctly featuring in Sanity Fair anytime soon what with the hair and the running mascare and, you know, total lack of communication and friends. I mean that does things to a girl.

I'm quite excited about "No Future For You" part 4.

Happy that this arc will finally be over but also sad to see it go. When will Faith get the spotlight again?

The description on some comic website said that someone will die this issue, but I don't know if that was just a guess from them.
 
The official description from Dark Horse says that "Slayers battle to the death" which implies that someone will die, but doesn't say it outright.
 
Unfortunately I have a sickly feeling Faith will die...and it will be related to breaking a bond with Gigi that would kill her, as well. For those who have played Star Wars: KoTOR II you know about Kreia and the Exile's bond. I'm feeling that going on with Faith and Gigi. The only way to take one player out is to take the other out, as well.

Killing Faith now would be pretty lame. If she ever dies I think it would be nice if she goes out a hero, saving someone else's life, or the world, at the cost of her own life.

Oh wow, part four will be available any day now.
