If Buffy and Connor were hanging over the edge of a cliff, and Angel only had enough time to save one of them, which one would it be? Certain death for the other if they fall.

If I'm being honest I think he would pick Conner to save. Not only because he is his son but because Buffy is older and weighing it up Angel might consider that she doesn't relastically have that many years left in her as a Slayer and that she would understand. However if it was me I would save Buffy, screw that cocky little shit!😀

Connor - without any second thoughts.
This made me laugh out loud. Preposterous. This is Angel we are talking about- of course he would have second thoughts. He could get centuries out of the anguish of having to pick Connor over Buffy and always wondering if he made the right choice. He'd not only have second thoughts, but probably second thousandth thoughts. His pants would take on a whole new shade of brood over it.

I love that!

And I completely disagree. He remade the word for Connor, wiped the memories of his friends, and sold himself to the forces of evil. While he may not like the deal he made, he never once tries to back out because Connor would pay the price. There are some decision that even Angel doesn't angst over. Look at staking Penn - no man pain there.

Connor is the center of his heart - he will do anything to save him, including letting Buffy (and Cordelia) bite the big one. He might regret her death, but he would never have second thoughts about his choice.

Connor.

We spend most of our lives to find our one true love. I found mine. It was impossible, it wasn't supposed to happen, but I found mine. (Angel in Angel: After the Fall).

Afterwards, he would brood like crazy - if not get really crazy - but I think he would save Connor.

Baby Connor or adult Connor?

I think he'd choose Connor too, regardless. Buffy's nearly died a whole load of times without Angel around. Angel left Buffy to get on with her life; he didn't get a choice with Connor - he felt like he'd failed Connor and assumed he would die in Quor'toth when got taken by Holtz. Because of that I don't think he'd let it Connor "die" again if he had a choice.

Angel would save Connor. He wouldn't stop to rationalize or weigh options. Connor is his miracle child. Nothing and no one is more important to him than his son.

Besides which, he's still miffed at Buffy for shacking up with Spike.

He would save Connor, of course!

I think depending on the circumstances, Buffy would have more of a chance of survival. She is the slayer, she's already died twice anyway...😛
Maybe he could try his chances with his superhuman speed to try to save both of them... But he'd save Connor first. That's his child! Buffy is his companion, an equal, but nowhere near the equivalent of his child!

Also I think Buffy would understand, and I think he'd know Buffy would understand. That's like if she had to choose between Angel and Dawn... It would be a no-brainer for her! And I think with Buffy and Angel's love, they'd each forgive the other for choosing the one person they loved and looked out for. I don't think either of them would ever doubt that they made the right choice, but would certainly mourn the loss of the love of their life and probably go over and over the circumstances that led to this situation in their heads.

I would say... no one. 😉

Angel would at first think about it, like he is used to and then just brooded a bit too long and both Connor + Buffy would falling down. Poor Angel. His "decisions", always a garantee from bad to worse. On the bright side, that would save him from the moral dilemma, Angel Style. 😉
