Well, basically LD already said what I was going to say...thanks LD! Saves me from having to go into it like that...and you explain things so much better than I could...lol...

Well, I was all about answering Buffy until I read your arguments, PyleanPrincess. You make some very good points in favor of Angel choosing Cordelia (you're not a lawyer, are you? or maybe a Wolfram & Hart paralegal?).

No no, i'm definetly NOT a lawyer, but thanks for the compliment!

I've always been good at laying out an argument. I took Higer English at secondary school (which im not ashamed to say i got an A for!) and one of the key elements in essays was structuring a good argument, laying it out well and backing it up with evidence. So in that way i've always had a flair for convincing others to see my point of view. I think i'd probably be a pretty good lawyer!

What it comes down to is 1) Buffy would have a much better chance of saving herself from any given sitch than Cordy would and 2) Buffy would totally understand Angel having to help a more helpless woman (Cordy) because he's a hero, and that's what heroes do. At least the on-television kind of heroes.

I completely agree with this, very well put. Good points also.

I don't know. It depends on what kind of situation it was. I mean, Buffy can handle herself so I think she would think of something to get out of her situation. I think Cordy would be the type of person to sacrifice herself, if it meant Angel would be happy. She'd probably tell him to save one of the other two. And that leaves Darla, which is who I think he'd save. I mean, if it was vampire Darla ... obviously not. But human, pure Darla ... hell yes. My vote goes to Darla. 🙂

You people weren't expecting that, I could feel it. 😉

Darla is the only defenseless one out of the 3, Buffy is a Slayer and Cordy is part demon with weird powers that protect her.

Now if it were Vamp Darla, Buffy and Cordy it would be a different situation and harder for Angel to choose since all 3 would be able to defend themselves equally.

So does it all come down to the strongest bond he has?

I believe that Buffy is his one true love and nothing could ever stop their bond. She was the one that had mattered the most to him through all of those years...

Cordelia and Angel are close friends, but I don't think their bond isn't that deep. They barely talked in the first 3 years they'd known each other and even though their friendship grew, they've only been together because they work together. They were never truly in love, IMO.

Angel's relationship with Darla is a very close one since they'd been together for 148 or so years. Plus, she made him. Then again, he had never wanted to become a demon. She's also had so many chances at life, so I don't think he'd choose her.

Angel, being the hero that he is, would probably refuse to choose and try to find another way around it...

Buffy offcourse, he cares about the other two aswell, but they're not "the one" for him.

Good question. I think that it would be Buffy. After seeing all the relationships evovle, I think that he was most in love with Buffy. No one can replace Buffy in Angel's heart.

When you think about it logically, that really is true, and I'm a total Angel/Cordelia shipper, but I voted for Buffy. If Angel had to save one he probably doesn't have time to analyze things very much, or at all, and I think his gut reaction would be to save Buffy.

Yeah..after consideration he might have tried to rescue someone withour powers but his firts reaction'd be Buffy...

I reckon it'd be a tough choice cuz he cares about them all a lot, but he'd still save Buffy.

As much as he feels for the other two, Buffy is his "one", his true other half and his immediate instinct would be to rescue her.
