Who would like the idea of Wesley and Faith as a couple?

This idea came to me while watching orpheus and their chemistry together was so imteresting and even though they obviously dont have the best history together and theres an age gap i think they'd be great together.
What do you think?
 
Well, if Faith was going to fall for a non-Buffy shaped person then Wesley is the best possible candidate imo. Those two would be the hot Watcher/Slayer combo- reformed Faith and Dark Wes certainly have this great vibe in 'Salvage/Release'. There's even some pretty steamy fics about the pairing...

But he's dead. 🙁🙁 So...not gonna happen I guess.
 
Dead in the Whedonverse is not necessarily final. I think Faith still has the same ideas she explained to Wood in "Chosen 7ABB22":

It's nothing personal. It's just after I get bouncy with a guy, there's not that much more I need
to know about him.

As she said, it's nothing personal. It doesn't sound like she is relationship material of any sort other than her first time with Xander. Maybe a story line I would like better is a hot matchup in the afterlife between Lilah and Wesley. All ships sink in the Whedonverse, but a ghost ship may just have the staying power you need.
 
I could see Faith having a brief fling with several people in the Buffyverse, among them, Angel, Wes, Spike, Gunn, and maybe even Buffy or Willow (Xander's already had his shot) but I honestly can't see Faith as"Long Haul Girl" for anyone. Unlike Buffy, I think that she actually likes being the Slayer, and wouldn't want to be tied down to any kind of really serious relationship that might interfere with that.
 
There's only one person that would be a good match for Faith and that would be Kennedy. They have similar attitudes when it came to putting in the work and Kennedy came from money so she could lavish things upon Faith like the Mayor did. Kennedy listened to Faith and followed Faith more than anyone else, Willow included.
 
Faith and Wes? Nah. Great chemistry on Angel S4, but nothing sexual. Though I did like Faith commenting on Wes' new appearance: "You're looking... good." Congrats, Wes, if Faith was impressed, then you must have been doing something right. 😉

I gotta say, though, if Faith were to sleep with Wes, it would probably be just that -- a one-night stand with no complications and no hurt feelings involved. Both of them would agree that it was kind of weird and that they're better off as friends.

I wish we had more scenes of them as Slayer and Watcher -- they'd definitely give Buffy and Giles a run for their money!
 
I dont really know how old either of them are but i guess that could also be a reason it wouldnt work.

At the end of Buffy S7, I would say Faith is about 22, and at the time of his death Wes is at or nearing his early thirties.

Really that young? Thought he might be a few years older than that.

I do see how there might be something between them because of their history and with the Wesley of Angel being a tougher character. But then I too just see too much of a father-daughter vibe there (I know he's not older enough, but still I can see that kind of thing). Also if Faith is to have a proper relationship then I think she actually needs someone who is quite a bit different to her. Its interesting too how people assume that Faith will always just be someone who enjoys sleeping around or is cut off from relationships. I know that is part of her character but she has matured more now, and pretty much everyone wants to settle down at some point.

Give or take a few. Alexis Denisof was 32 when he started playing Wesley, but looked slightly younger. I always imagined Wes to be a few years out of college (probably late 20s when we first meet him).

I also agree about the father-daughter vibe between him and Faith. They remind me too much of Buffy-Giles in that Wes would act in a mentor capacity and nothing more. Plus, he really doesn't seem the type who would sleep with girls at least ten years his junior.

I don't think that would be a problem for Faith, if she wanted be with Wes...
And one relatioship we never got to see was Watcher/Slayer.

Wesley and a very young Cordelia almost had a thing - but then they discovered that there wasn't any chemestry between them.

Faith is at least as old as Cordy, and Cordy and Wes were very hot for each other for awhile in Season 3. I got the distinct feeling that there COULD have been something there, or, at least there was the opportunity, but the expected (and mutually hoped for) spark just didn't happen.
 
Well I do like their dynamic in Salvage and Release, they worked well and kept each other in check. Faith does say Wes is looking good, but I don't see any sexual or romantic chemistry between the two of them. I'm not sure after what Faith did to Wes that he would ever want to be with her in an intimate way, even just as a one night stand. And I don't think Faith would have wanted it either. Now, I admit I am a bit biased cause I ship Fuffy and Fresley, but I still don't think anything would have happened, and can't now, cause he's dead. I will say that s4 Wes is pretty hot, and Faith is always hot, so I wouldn't have minded seeing them have a fling, I just don't believe it's in their characters to do so with each other.

My mistake, I assumed we were talking about S4 Faith and Wes. By that point I highly doubt he fancied the young uns. 😉

He did look very young in Buffy, but yeah I assumed that the character was meant to be at least in his 30's 0therwise it wouldn't seem credible that he would have such an important role.
