who would love Xander/Faith?

Their relationship was funny and quite sweet in the zeppo and I was sad that they barely talked in seasons seven.
But who thinks Xander should have asked Faith to be his girlfriend in season three? Maybe she wouldn't have become evil if that had happened.

I really doubt Faith would have said yes to being Xander's girlfriend. I just don't see the chemistry between these two, at least nothing past sexual (Faith had sexual chemistry with just about any character). Faith just showed no interest in Xander romantically, or otherwise really. And on Xander's side, I think it was more of a case of thinking they had a connection because she took his virginity, I doubt there were any feelings deeper than that involved.

Also, I don't recall them ever talking in Season 7, but I do think Faith patched things up with him because in one episode she jokes about having taken his virginity.

I'm not too big on fanfics, but I have read a couple about Faith/Xander that made me think it could work.

Faith thought guys were only after her for sex, so the only one way Xander could have a relationship with her is if he proved himself before they had sex. Or happened to be taking a stroll that night when Faith staked the Deputy Mayor and pushed him out of the way in time, thus saving Faith a lot of emotional/psychological damage.

In Season 3, Faith had no interest, whatsoever, in anything more than one night stands, and her character by Season 7 didn't seem to give any indication of serious change in that mindset. I think that that is all that Xander will ever be to her: a one night stand, who has already had his one night. Nothing more.

For Faith, it was all about the sex, nothing more. She never expressed interest in Xander before or after. And the only reason she even went for it in Consequences I think was to change the subject from her being a murderer. Would she have just had sex with him, not assaulting him, if he would have been like "Ok! Let's do it again!" instead of resisting like he did. Had Faith not killed Alan Finch, would he have tried to pursue her, and she'd just shut him down? We'll never know.

I'd be interested to read some Fander fanfic. I do wish they had interacted more in S7 too.

I agree. Xander is a horny 18 year old who gets turned on by linoleum, has just broken up with his GF, might possibly die tonight, has been neglected by his close friends, and said ex-GF mocks him at every turn for his lack of cool. Xander's self-esteem was low that night. He saw Faith and decided to help her out. What happened after was undecided by him. For Faith, Xander just happened to be there and she used him. From what we saw, there was never going to be any romance, unless as stated before Xander managed to make a prior impression on her.

Consequences, IDK. Faith was pretty kill-crazy by then, she might have gotten violent regardless of what happened.

They never interacted in S7, either. They most we got was in 'Dirty Girls' when they were Buffy's backup team and Faith stood at Xander's side as he fired an arrow at one of the Bringers.

I can see Xander/Faith working post-Chosen. Both have matured and changed into better people. I did enjoy this Xander/Faith manifesto. Lots of fics are recced here.

I'd be interested to read some Fander fanfic.

Check out Liz-Marcs fanfic. Her characterizations are good and Xander/Faith is her favorite pairing. She also writes interesting adventures with intriguing plot twists, so it's not just about getting Xander and Faith together.

Tradition of Appearance by anythingbutgrey: One shot. An interesting “might-have-been” post Zeppo prior to Faith going bad. Just read it and I liked it.
