I've been thinking about this recently. Which of the human characters would make for the scariest vampire(and also the toughest challenge for Buffy). I think emotionally, it would be Giles. He's Buffy's father figure, and would prove to be a terribly difficult oponent based on his intellectual prowess. Xander, or Willow would prove to be painfull as well because of their close ties, but in the end, Buffy would defeat the both of them. Probably the hardest vamp to fight would be Riley I would think though. He killed Forest(the demon version)without great difficulty, kills Vamps with relative ease, and for the most part traded blows with Angel. Add that to all his combat training, and new found Vamp strength, speed, and agility and I think he might prove a difficult to beat combatant even for Buffy. Tell me what you think. I would have liked to have done this in poll form, but alas I do not have the privileges.

I'm going to go with Giles from what I've read in "The Lost Slayer"...I know books aren't typically considered Buffy "canon" but this book is a pretty accurate depiction of Giles as a vamp.

I agree you Mr_Gordo, I think it would be Giles. Because of his intellagence, and his fatherness to Buffy. I would think it would be like the deal with Angel, when she couldn't kill him. I think it would be the same with Giles, because she is close with him and stuff. It woudl be all around difficult for Buffy. And then I'd after to agree with Mr_Gordo on Riley to.. Even though I don't like Riley, I think he'd be a difficult vamp for Buffy.

What about Angel characters

Gunn, and Wesley would be pretty hearty vamps as well. Wes is smart, and a capable fighter, and Gunn is as tough as they come.

I think the vamps that survive the longest tend to be the ones with the intelligence to stay alive and either avoid or defeat their foes...kinda like a Darwin view on Vampires

Possibly Gunn is a vampire. Joss says he's dead in the Alley. The last time we saw him before the alley, he was fighting vampires.

Joss says Gunn is dead.

C
Cordelia
That would have been an interesting development in S6 if there was one.

My first thought was Giles as well. To truly be victorious over someone, you have to out-think them. Buffy could dust Giles in combat, but Giles could out-maneuver, and out-think her before that.

Do you think Vamp-Ethan Rayne could whup Vamp-Giles?

I don't think they'd fight though. I think they'd be buddies. Hey, that team could give Buffy a go.

If Willow could keep her magic definatly her post-S7 becuase then she would be super powerful and be able to use it without that pesky moral conscience.

Giles would be the brains of the operation though 😀

Giles, Wesley, and all the other intelligent vamps would definitely be tough. But it always boils down to confrontation at the end. Angel toyed with Buffy in season 2, but it still boiled down into a fight. Angel got licked in that fight. The smart ones last longer, but in the eventual fight...the inevitable confrontation, Gunn, and Riley would pose the biggest threat I would think.

Oooh good question. I think the scariest to see as vamps would be Giles or Xander. Just because they are both so kind-hearted and reliable. 🙂

Giles was the vampire king, in the lost slayer novels.I have one of the books. And Giles, is very evil.It was Buffy's fault that Giles got sired. It was a good book.Slayers such as August and Anna Kuei were featured in it.So I have to say Giles, & Willow. When Buffy was turned into a vampire in season 1, she was not that evil.Just like Harmony, Buffy was as good as she was evil. She didn't want to hurt anybody, even thou she was tempted to hurt someone.Harmony is just like she was, when she was human. So Buffy and Harmony aren't scariest vampires.Willow is, and we see that in a few episodes. She loved torturing her victims. We didn't really see Xander do any torturing, and when I saw the vamp Xander, I laughed.I was like okay...lol.He was fun to laught at as a vampire.Cause you can picture Xander as a human, but as a vampire...Nicholas wasn't really good acting as bad xander. He tried his best by doin breathy voices and stuff. But I think actors like Spike did a better badass character, than Xander. So I voted for Giles and Willow.I know Spike and Angelus...Dru...yeah all of them are scary as vamps. But I'm only voting for those who aren't currently vamps.

Oh ya and Gunn isn't dead. He'a bout to die.Illyria told him that he was dying, and would okly last I forgot how many minutes. So that's what he meant on how he's dead on that alley. He is already dying, and will only last so long.If you read the transcriptsin buffyworld.com. it says that.

I think Dawn would be hardest. We all know how protective Buffy is over her littlesister. I think it would be extremely hard for buffy to kill a vampire with her sisters face.
Giles, Willow and Xander would also be difficult of course. Willow and Giles not only emotionally, Giles is very smart, and Willow has her magics, plus she is really smart to.

And also, I have to disagree on whoever said they didn't think Xander was good as evil. I think he was really good! I like it when Xander is evil (as long as it's only for an episode at the time of course)

Re:

Y'know I just thought of something. Jenny Callendar probably would've made a pretty viscious little vamp. With her knowledge and background- she could do some damage. :devil2:

I agree with NSlayMode and Mr. Grodo.
Jenny and Giles would've made scary vamps physically and emotionally to Buffy, Giles is a father figure and Jenny was working on the cure for Angel
And as a pair Jenny and Giles would've been even worse🙂...

Definitely Dawn. Buffy would feel she had failed as a sister and slayer if Dawn was ever sired, and might not be able to kill her. Giles would be hard too, and Willow, though perhaps less emotionally trying (though Buffy and Willow are best friends, Buffy doesn't feel responsible for her like she does about Dawn), would not have any of the morals that prevented her from destroying the world in "Grave", making her a force to be reckoned with.

Watch out Spike and Dru!

Jenny and Giles together as vampires...that would be interesting! And very much fun! They should make a spinoff with anyone, and have an episode like The Wish with an alternate reality, where that could happen! Would be something!😀

Wes, hands down. As a human, he was already emotionally disturbed, ruthless and vicious. As a vampire, he would make the Fang Four look like amateurs.
