I voted for my Wesley,of course 😛 I love all these characters, and would vote for them all but if i must choose, its wonderful Wyndam Pryce 🙂

Not technically "saving," I suppose, but just think of all the hate, discontent, and downright malice if we could have somehow "saved" baby Connor from being taken away into that hell dimension. No teenaged Connor, no possessed pseudo Cordy, no Beast, no Angelus, no Jasmine, no Angel at Wolfram & Hart.

Then we could have Daddy Angel, Mommy Cordy, and Baby Connor, with Wes, Gunn, and Fred all making up the Whedon version of the Waltons.

I like that idea
Again, wouldn't really save anyone but I'd give Cordy a better send off. What they did to her character in s4 was blasphemy, and although her one ep come back in s5 was nice, the girl deserved so much better. Her dying should have been a HUGE thing, like seriously that bitch selfish brat from highschool became one of the greatest heroine in the verse.

Aside from that, well Wesley is my man, but the guy deserves peace. By the finale, I think he welcomes death and he deserves to let go. And, as much as I liked the ghost Wesley storyline, I wouldn't mind putting the guy to rest.

So I guess I'm being boring, I don't want to save anyone really, although I agree with WA, if we can save the living, than saving Connor is a good option. But that's just because I hate teenage Connor, he was so much cuter as a baby. And even if I dislike Connor, I like the storyline of s3 so I wouldn't want that changed.

Was just thinking some more, most death on AtS were very well done. Doyle, Fred, Darla, Lindsey, all of their death really resonated with me.

Doyle. The first, and perhaps the only Angel's true friend, outside from the circle of Buffy. Certainly the friendship was strong even with Wes, Cordy and Gunn, but with Doyle there was something more, a something undefined that to me elevates him to best friend ever.

The three that jumped to mind right away were the three who had the most emotional deaths for me: Doyle, Cordy and Wes.

The trouble though, is that all three had truly amazing exits from the show. "Hero", "You're Welcome" and "Not Fade Away" are some of the best episodes of either series, and I wouldn't want them to change. On a purely emotional level though, just as a gut reaction, I would want to save Doyle. He was gone too soon.

I would "save" Lilah in that I would have her appear as a ghost or similar in Season 5. Eve was very good but Lilah would have been at least as good in that role.

Eve was a plae cut rater version of a lousy copy of Lilah - and only on her best days, none of which occured on camera d
I voted for Wesley, because ultimately Doyle and Cordy (the only other real contenders imo) went out on a real high- their deaths served a higher purpose of saving people/saving Angel himself.

Wesley deserved better than what he got, which is why his death was the saddest. I think if he'd stuck around he might've gotten to see Fred for real, and not just Illyria's facsimile of her. 🙁

It was so hard to chose! Especially between my two favourites, Wes and Lilah. In the end I chose Lilah because she was criminally underused and I just loved her.

YEs, I miss Lilah, shes so perfectly evil :D
I considered Fred, but I liked Illyria so much (and I'm looking forward to her role in the comics) that I approve of that transition, even if the television show had continued. Illyria is a very nice evolution of the cast.

I voted for Wes like nearly everyone else. I just like (Darker)Wes as a character more than anyone else on Angel. He's just really, really interesting and deep. And Denisof is a tremendous actor and enjoyable to watch. If the show had continued without Wes I would have felt a VERY tangible hole and empty feeling looking at the cast that remained.

Cordy. She had a brilliant send off, but it never should have gotten to that point in the first place. The show wasn't the same without her.

Wesley's death is painfully tragic, but I feel it's well earned, and had a much better build up to it than Cordy's. And if the show would have continued after season 5, I would have preferred one of them stayed, and of the two I'd choose Cordelia.

After Cordy, I would have kept dead!Lilah around in season 5. What the hell were they doing with this Eve business? Serious downgrade if there ever was one.

Cordelia! I think hands down she is the Buffyverse character that came the furthest, her character growth in the span of both shows was just remarkable and outstanding. I watched AtS more for her than for Angel and it was her that got me from not really caring about Angel so much to loving to ship Angel & Cordelia. It sounds crazy to say from where they all started on Buffy, but by the end Angel And Cordelia were it, absolutely meant to be and they shoulda lived happily ever after.
