This is a question I always find fun, so I was wondering what you guys think 🙂
Imagine for a second that you're an actor and you get to play one of your favourite Buffy/Angel characters. Who would you choose to play and why? Is it because you're most like that character? Or is it because you'd get to play someone the total opposite of you? Is it because you look like the actor that actually plays them? Is it because you think they have fun plots to play? Would you like to totally reinvent the character? Thoughts? 🙂

Well, technically speaking, I wouldn't play anyone: I'm a very horrid actress.

But that aside...

Probably Cordelia. She's not really anything like me, but I've always admired her, and I think it's impossibly fun to play the oblivious stuck-up.

Yeah, I'm horrid actress too, even in real life when I say the truth, like if my sister asks me if I'm the one that eat the chocolate and I look suspect saying that but I really didn't :D
This is something my friends and I spend a lot of time thinking about because we're all actresses. More often than not you will find us filming scenes from our favourite TV shows or movies. I've uploaded two scenes onto one of my YouTube accounts that we've filmed from Buffy. But we often talk about it and we say who we'd play if we had the chance. Most often it's the person we're most like.

I often play Buffy. She is my favourite character because I relate to her more than anybody else. In most of the work I do with all my friends, that's who I play. I also would love to play Anya because I just think she's so much fun and she makes me laugh every single time I see her onscreen. I adore her. Faith and Willow might also be a lot of fun.

But overall, Buffy becuase I relate to her and play her the most often in real life anyways. Besides, she has so many plots that would be so much fun to get to play out and so many different acting challenges in her character.

Great question! I would want to play Willow. Based on my appereance I think that she is the character I could pull of playing (if I could act 😀).

Willow karma!
My first instinct is to say Darla, but vampire Darla from the old days (not pregnant Darla, geezo...), cos she had super fun when she was her proper vamp self. Plus, and this is a biggie... she was with sexpot Angelus for a hundred years or so. (sw)

Darla! :D
I would like to play Cordelia. I'm not much like her but I like her sense of humor, spunk and sass. I think she would be a really fun character to play.

I agree, I think she'd be REALLY fun to play!
I'd love to play Cordelia, because she's amazing.

Or Lilah, she just is a bitch and I love her for it.

If I could play a male part it'd be Wesley. I already have the English accent and it would be fun to do his character development. 🙂

If they would give me a little freedom of interpretation of the character, I think that it would have been fun playing Jonathan. He had a lot of potential that was never realized, except for the one episode where he got to be his dream Buckaroo Banzai self. If Xander could remember all of his military training from a single Halloween evening, why couldn't Jonathan have remembered some of his cool self stuff?

In Season 7, instead of getting killed by Andrew, I would have disarmed him, twisted his head around 180 degrees, then gone and joined forces with Buffy and her crew. I could have been a far better "guest-age" than Andrew ever was, Faith would have fallen in love with me at first sight, and I could have almost certainly saved Anya.

Jonathan karma, and karma for your awesome how it should have happen scenario :D
lol I'd have to say Darla. Cause playing evil is much more fun than playing good.

🙂

I'm actually not sure I could play someone evil... I'm to good. It seems weird. But who knows, maybe it'll be a like a new experience. haha

Hence your username, lol. :D
Drusilla, I can envisage having a lot of fun being insane and getting loads of scenes with James Marsters (he seems like a great actor to work with). Or maybe Anya as I can relate to being the sarcastic cynical one.

If I could act a bit, I would probably play Harmony, because I'm good at playing stupid, and I tend to have the same naivety as her. You know, in real life, when I'm in a lalala-life-is-beautifuuuul-kind of mood, I'm like...Donkey in Shrek, or Sid in Ice Age, or well, Harmony in the show!

On a deeper level, Harmony is definitely not the one I relate to the most, emotionnaly speaking, but on the superficial level, my first layer is quite like her!

Even though I'm female, I would definitely want to play Giles. Because he's awesome, end of story, goodbye. 🙂

I'm going to say Eve. It would be impossible for me to play it any worse than that horrible little girl faced actress did and I think I could give the character some real depth. Like Darla said - the evil characters are always more fun. Also, I'd totally get to fool around with both David and Christian. That's a pretty check and mate for me.

Oooh. Maybe I should play Harmony - I'd get make outs with Adam!

Haha, nice topic idea. I'm not an actor(far from it), but if I had to pick a character I'd have liked to play it would be Lorne! Such a great character... Lots of hilarious lines too. If only I could sing as well as Andy did. 😉

Oh and maybe... Skip! I mean... I'd get to kick Angel's ass for a bit, and that costume and the make up were awesome.

Anya or Kennedy, no doubt. I love Anya, I act like her (so my friends say, they call me Anya actually), and I even roleplay Anya, so I know the character pretty well. I think I could do pretty well with her.

But I would totally play Kennedy because first of all, WILLOW FTW!

And also, there is very little Kennedy love. I think that even with the script being the same, I could interpret it to make Kennedy a nicer character, maybe being shown as more sexy confident, and less jerky. I would want to project how I see Kennedy on people, to spread the Kennedy love around. 🙂
