OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!

This is awesome.
I love Ghostbusters BUT read the part where Dan Aykroyd, who writes and has a say in the casting, says who he would like to be the next generation of Ghostbuster!

Eliza as a Ghostbusteress.

Aykroyd confirms Ghostbusters 3 is all go

Dan Aykroyd has confirmed the third Ghostbusters movie is all set to go before the cameras - with the original cast in place to reprise the characters from the 1984 film.

The movie star reveals Sigourney Weaver has signed on for the project, alongside himself, Bill Murray, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson - and the film could start shooting this winter.

Aykroyd still fears the project could "blow up" "at any second" but he hopes the new film will herald in a new generation of all-girl Ghostbusters.

He tells the Los Angeles Times newspaper, "I'd like it to be a passing-of-the-torch movie. Let's revisit the old characters briefly and happily and have them there as family but let's pass it on to a new generation."

And the actor wants Alyssa Milano and Eliza Dushku to consider becoming part of the Ghostbusters family: "I think they're amazing."

haha, Eliza as a ghostbuster...i can sortof see it sorta not. Either way...GHOSTBUSTERS 3! Awesome.

I have never been a fan of ghostbusters but with Eliza and Alyssa in it i would totally give it a watch!

if Dancing Man gets away with it...

Suddenly imagining Eliza as a ghostbuster isnt too hard. All i did was google ghostbusters lol, its a first page hit.

(mods...to be fair, its that that bad, ive seen sigs that are worse!)

RE:

Holy hot Ghostbuster! I'm not a huge Alyssa Milano fan (although she has nice...nevermind), but I'll watch that just to see Eliza fall out of those shorts! LOL.

^ Those heels make for some impractical busting. 😛

GB3 would definitely be a movie to get me considering going to the cinema for it... I'm one of the not-so-many on this board to actually be old enough to have watched the original movie at the cinema back then, and I loved it! I still sometimes randomly say "Gozer the Gozarian, Gozer the Destructor, Volguus, Zildrohar, the Traveller has come." (But then again, I'm nuts. 😛 )

Charmed + Buffy = GB3
Weird math but I'll take it. I know Murray was the hold out but I do hope this movie will be enticing enough to bring Rick Moranis out of retirement. I would love to see him and Annie Potts together as proud parents of one of the female ghotbusters.

I always get nervse when they try to revive a series that ended years ago. However, I think Eliza would make a good Ghostbuster. As always she will play a badass, but that could work well.

As for the picture............OH! I'm still typing (wipes drool of her mouth!)

Ghostbusters 3? I love Ghostbusters, but I can't help think it'll be bloody awful, Eliza or not. 😛

Alyssa Milano AND Eliza Dushku up for possible roles in the new Ghostbusters flick, that would be amazing! It might not happen but still if it did I'd be watching in an instant.

To be honest, I would watch it regardless about should either of those two get roles. For me it is about the ghostbusters themselves, not the support chars 🙂

Why?

Bill Murray as crossed over to be one of the best actors around at the moment, starring in critically acclaimed movies and still being hilarious!

Dn Ackroyd still has the comic timing and is hilarious.

Harold Ramis has directed, and been involved with, some great films and TV since Ghostbusters, including directing episodes of The Office, which is one of the funniest shows on TV.

Ernie Hudson has been at worst interesting in everything I have seen him in since Ghostbusters, particularly Oz.

These people between them have an amazing ability with comedy and they will ALL be involved with the movies script, even if they don't write it themselves.

Honestly, this is one of the few movies that I don't have an issue with being made because everyone that should be involved, is.
This doesn't feel like a forced picture by any studio like alot of tripe that comes out, this feels like a reunion of some of the finest actors/comedians for one of the greatest movies they've all been involved with.

To be honest, I would watch it regardless about should either of those two get roles. For me it is about the ghostbusters themselves, not the support chars 🙂

Just to be clear, I get the impression that the Original Ghostbusters would be the supporting characters and the new Ghostbusters would be the 'stars'.

I could see Eliza being the star of a Ghostbusters movie.

Cinema was 'camper' back then.

To make Ghostbusters work in todays cinematic climate is quite clearly going to be a challenge. Not that I am saying it wont work but it WILL be difficult. With movies like Batman you can utilise his darker nature. But Ghostbusters...like i suppose wonder woman, lacks the recognition needed to establish a change. Ghostbusters...even in 2009, will be very 1984...even if it doesn't mean to be.

And my response to you is:
Zoolander, Dodgeball, EVERY movie that Will Ferrell is in, every movie that Ben Stiller is in that isn't Zoolander and Dodgeball, Adam Sandler, Role Models, Pineapple Express, Seth Rogen, Steve Carrell... I could go on.

You can't get camper than these!

Ghostbusters was/is a very intelligent movie with a combination of humour that I think works for so many people PLUS the nostalgia effect PLUS the right people being involved.
