Who's more boring w/ a soul: Spike or Angel?

I am not talking about Angel now, I mean Angel in Buffy S1-3 vs. Spike in S7, 'cuz both are at their most boringest points then. I say Spike. He has lost his humor.
 
Both were incredibly dull and pathetic while dating Buffy. Spike was a cool, vibrant character back in season two when it was him and Dru. Angel was pretty good as Angelus in season two and is a much better character on his own show. The fact is, neither had a chance to shine while being with Buffy, because Buffy is the 'star' and to have an equally powerful male character who isn't evil would have detracted from the 'girl power' message of the show. On Angel this problem is lessened (probably due the theme of that show not being 'white undead boy power') and the supporting cast is allowed to be a little tougher and a little cooler. For this reason it should be nice to see Spike make the move to Angel next season.

Then again, every character seems to get cooler and tougher when they move to Angel. Faith had some of her best moments there. I used to hate Angel before he made the move to LA. Wes was a waste of space until he switched shows. Cordy was useless and whiney until she she moved over as well (sure she sucked last season, but she was evil and possessed so I'm willing to let it slide... I hope they bring her back to Angel).
 
Spike S7 sucks i want the old Spike chip guy...funny guy....S2 guy just not S7 one...in my 2hundred bla blah years ive only been sure about you! Purlease! I want old spike back 🙁
 
Both of them are equally boring, IMO. Spike was so much cooler without a soul - even when he had the chip. He's lost a lot of that bad boy attitude that gave him a real edge. Angel has ALWAYS been boring, IMO - Angelus, on the other hand, was fine... funny, even. Angel is just WAY too broody and puppy-like for me.
 
i never thought of it like that befor but they both lost their manly hood while with her
i think they are evenly pathetic while under the spell of love neither one of them had any bark left
 
S7 Spike for sure...*Yawn*

Angel was interesting to me with a soul. But Spike, let's just say he's like one of those characters that when you try to turn good they just suck, and are better off evil. I love him when he was a badass better.
 
Angel is boring with a soul.... no matter what the season, no matter what the show.

There is only so much brooding a person can handle.

Spike with a soul= crazy of his rocker guy.... controlled by evil....and then the one to give Buff the strength she needed. Way better than moping around and eternally bound to the needy.
 
they can be a bit boring.... but both spike and angel were okay during their runs on buffy... i love spike and angel, souless or ensouled... don't matter.... but they're not that boring...

i think in some way angel is boring compare haw he was before but spike is also boring now but i still like him.
 
angel with with a soul is stil cooler...but he is more boring than spike with a soul....

its funny cause when both lose their souls...angel is allot more fun to be around....falkin like hanniba lector
 
Spike's so boring with soul. He's... erm... EEEEW! Angel's still funny and interesting but Spike's just boring. I'd say - Angel is better than Spike in every way. with or without soul.
 
Spike is DEFINITELY the more boring of the two! My Angel never was and never is boring 😉

Ok, maybe sometimes, but still....Spike-blech!

indeed! i totaly agree with you. and crazey spike was an entertaining spike!
