Why are the ANGEL issues so SHORT????

The stories per issue is only Half the comic book, with the rest of the comic filled with ads and letters.

The first issue of AFTER THE FALL was the hwole comic book. Now its half?? what a rip

I had the same question about the Buffy comics as well, though the Angel ones are even worse. For the price we pay, there should be at least 50% more pages.

I don't think it's that bad. In fact, if I'm not mistaken they're both about the same length. That is counting only the pages with story on them.

(I'll count the "splash" page with the title, first panel, and the credits for Buffy as a half page.)

Buffy #01: 23½ pages.
Buffy #02: 23½ pages.
Buffy #03: 21½ pages.
Buffy #04: 23½ pages.
Buffy #05: 22½ pages.
Buffy #06: 22½ pages.
Buffy #07: 22½ pages.
Buffy #08: 22½ pages.
Buffy #09: 26½ pages.
Buffy #10: 24½ pages.
Buffy #10: 21½ pages.

Angel #01: 27 pages.
Angel #02: 22 pages.

Being a life long comic book fan and collector, I'm used to the massive amount of ads.
My only compliant is that comics no longer cost 35 cents.

haha, I'm also used to many ads, I've been reading comics since I was little. I think the issues could be just a bit longer considering that we pay almost 5 bucks an issue for ATF. Maybe, if we complain enough it will happen eventually, who knows?

huh....I'm stumped. I pay $3.99 (with actually 10% off because our comic store ROCKS!) And I don't have all that many ads. The book ends and there is a preview for the next issue then a two page spread of letters and answers, which are fun to read. Then I have roughly 4 ads for other comics. But, they seem to be Dr. Who and the longest one is for another dark, perhaps scary comic, but something I can see them thinking an Angel reader might enjoy.
Do I have less or is it that last 4 pages that are making people upset?
