I'm another one that came over from CoA a long time ago. I like the whedonverse in general and I love my dorm bunches. I'll chat about anything though I suppose, but I prefer to do it with buffy people 🙂

Nobody else I know either has watched Buffy and Angel or isn't interested so I was browsing for Buffy and Angel sites not really expecting to find one still talking about both shows and when buffy-boards came up on Google I went to it thought it looked good and I registered. I have never regretted the choices I made to join. 😀

I came here because I wanted somewhere to talk Buffy, Angel and Bangel, but I stayed because of the people and community. And that's the reason I continue to stay. Even when the shows don't hold the same interest for me as they used to.

I second Kean. I came to talk about BtVS and stayed because I love the people and the community here. This place is by far my favorite online hang out. 🙂

I was also on CoA (my first forum ever) and transitioned over to BB when it closed. I come here for the people really, and for the occasional epic battle about some random topic.

I found BB because I NEEDED to talk about Buffy with someone. My friends didn't watch, and the IMDb boards are AWFUL. So I googled "Buffy forum" and BB was the first link. I was on another forum that had no rules and organization (literally) and I was so impressed by the rules and organization that I joined on the spot.

I come here as often as I do for the people. I love the Buffy talk... and when you get a really good discussion about Buffy, it's exhilarating. But more than anything, what I love about this place is the people. I've made such great friends on BB... I don't know where I'd be without everyone.

At first it was all about the episode analysis for me, dissecting the meaning out of episodes and finding little subtle moments of interest, but now, although I still enjoy that side of things to some extent, its more just about being able to discuss a range of different things, either Buffy or non-Buffy related with people whom you know have that common background of loving Btvs

I love the discussions, but sometimes it gets so tiring when people constantly disagree with you. I came here for said discussions, actually, and now, hardly partake in them.

I do love the dorms though. Drogyn is awesome, and probably the main reason I'm still around. I love the people on here too. I've made some good friends on BB.

And I chose BB because it was the first link on my google search. 😛

im here because I love talking about it... but mostly, it's because I can geek out and no one makes fun of me... I don't have any friends that love buffy, in fact, i dont have any friends that even kind of like it. They pretty much hate it with a fiery passion.

I just love the company, making friends that have things in common with me.... some of my best friends have been online, through things we both love.... and they have lasted a long time...

The reason I got here and why I'm still here are two different things.

After rewatching Buffy for the 5 or so time I thought it was about time I looked into joining a forum. Decided to skip the swedish one, even if it were active and found my way here due to shallowness. Joined, thought I'd lurk around reading and possibly make a comment or two.

The reasons I'm still here is simply the people. I know it's not what the admins want, they want people discussing Buffy and Angel and even if I do from time to time that's not what I post most about. Some discussions doesn't interest me and even if we always get new members I can't say that I always feel like giving the same answer for the tenth time. I make up for it by making some useless comments/posts from time to time.😉 Hopefully mixed by some better ones.

I stumbled about BB while googling something Buffy-related. I stalked you guys for awhile, then was bored at work one day and though, "Eh, why not? I heart Buffy, they heart Buffy, I like to talk, and I want some answers about things I've been pondering!"

Today is the first day I stepped out of the episode threads. I went into the Game of Life and played a bit, and checked out Joyce's Gallery. I'm interested in making my own banners, so we'll see. I'm NOT artistic, but I do a lot of digiscrapbooking. I am in love with PSE. 🙂

whatever reason, I think it's so cool that we're all here. Before I got here, I found myself trying so hard to talk about it with other people in my life, but they had seen the show a long time ago and even if they still loved it (one friend for example, has all seasons on dvd and watches them occasionally) it was clear to me that they didn't want to talk about it on and on... well, I did. I do... so I'm glad I found you guys.

I really enjoy talking about my favorite topic ever - Buffy. I like the debates, because there are so many in this fandom it's amazing. I like arguing with people about my favorite subjects (like spuffy/bangel wars, SO love it!) and feel the energy in this place where people have a one big thing in common, which is also a big part of their lives (most). Now that the how is not on the air for so long, it's hard to find a place or people to talk about it with. So this is the best solution for me.

Just realised I haven't really answered my own question.

I found the boards when I was doing a re-watch over the summer last year. I had intended to lurk mainly, but the topics were quite interesting so I decided to give it a go. I mainly like reading everyone defend their ships as it's something I never really thought about before coming to the boards. I'm amazed at how passionate people are! I also like the different interpretations of episodes and the subtleties that you wouldn't necessarily pick out if nobody had mentioned them. VH is cool too- obviously 😉

What I like about the community vibe here is that you can actually state an opinion without feeling like you're going to get flamed. It's nice having a positive place to talk and as pathetic as it sounds, I'd be a lot more miserable at uni than I am without BB.

All my friends think Buffy is a bit sad...apart from one. (though we all know differently 😛)

I love belonging to a community and meeting new people, and I love the friendship people have here.

I try to be. As long as the purpose isn't to belittle someone else. Sometimes I fail. Being honest is most often good. Being blunt, not so much. Being honest doesn't mean that you always have to say everything that's on your mind though.

I joined the forums after hearing about them from a friend (Smiles) who once belonged to them. I've stayed (and posted now and then) mostly to post thoughts about episodes of Buffy, Angel, Dollhouse, Firefly, etc, but also because I enjoy chatting with several of the members here.
