Why couldn't Wolfram & Hart take Cordy out of her coma?

I don't understand this: W&H could resurrect Darla from the pits of Hell, could give Connor a new life in a metter of 1 second during the middle of a brutal fight. But yet they couldn't bring Cordelia out of her coma? Was giving birth to Jasmine really damaging that even W&H couldn't bring her back?

Cordelia, as a PTB, was a danger to the Senior Partners, and they wanted that she to stay out of the games.

In Season 5, Wolfram & Hart simply didn't want Cordy around, whether she was a Higher Being or just a plain ol' human. She acted as a stabilizing agent for Angel. keeping him focused on his mission, something that they most definitely did NOT want.

The question to me is - why didn't Angel suggest/ask/investigate this?
He knew W&H resurrected Darla and gave Connor a new life. So why was he content leaving her in a hospital bed?

(because Charisma was no longer on the pay roll but that's besides the point)

I think he did it. The offer of W&H included this too.

ANGEL: (to Lilah) Is it taken care of?
LILAH: Cordelia's safe and sound, probably getting a manicure and a blow dry as we speak.
FRED: You found Cordy? And she's—
LILAH: Still in a coma. But hey, it doesn't mean she can't look her best. (to Angel) She'll receive the finest care, medical and metaphysical. If there is a way to get her back, we'll find it.

damn, I really need to re-watch season 5, clearly I remember almost nothing from it! Lol

Clearly because he was in love with Buffy and was finally happy to be away from the dreaded Cangel! I mean really..

Ouch. And 'You're Welcome' was such a nice gift to all those Cangel fans (although it was originally written with Buffy in mind...).

I think that being hollowed out and driven around by one of the PTB was a bit too much for even the Senior Partners to undo. I mean, I agree with those that say they wouldn't have wanted Cordelia awake in the first place, but even so I'm not sure they could of if they'd tried.

Then again, I wierdly thought about maybe Willow being able to do it, given that her view of magic- that everything is connected, gaia, earth, blah- is inherently 'good/pure' that she could've succeeded where W&H failed.
But she wasn't asked. (Although given a lot of behaviour of the Scoobies 'off-screen' in S5 who the hell knows if she even would've. 🙁)

Even if W&H were capable of reviving Cordelia, I can't see why they would. It'd hardly be in their best interests to give Angel back his psychic hotline... she was only back for one episode and she managed to direct him to The Circle of the Black Thorn without anyone getting wind of it. If they could revive her, they'd probably come up with a BS excuse not to anyway.

^ Although yes, I also imagined Willow would have no trouble with it had she been asked.

Maybe the Senior Partners just made sure that Angel stayed so busy running "his" law firm that he never stopped to think about it.

Simple, Joss had enough of Cordelia because of what happened in their personal life but he wanted to give her closure.

Thing is, in Angel After The Fall, Cordy gets mentioned quite a lot and also makes an appearance since she still tries to guide Angel when she could, however it's weird how in later season of Angel and Faith she barely is mentioned at all (correct me if I'm wrong)

I've wondered if hinting that Angel's dragon in "After The Fall" was actually Cordelia, then having him send her away with Groo wasn't Joss having one last stab at Charisma before dismissing Cordy from the Buffyverse totally.

The only time I can think of is when they're talking about getting Giles back and Faith says to Angel something along the lines of "If there was a way, you would have found it when Cordy died."

Sounds sweet 🙂 thanks
