Why did Snyder know so much about the Hellmouth?

He knew so much about Buffy being the Slayer, he knew so much about the Hellmouth in "School Hard" and "I Was Made To Love You"

there were signs of him working with the Mayor. Cause he did reported sometimes to him. Do you think him trying to keep Buffy out of Sunnydale High in early season 3 was a plan created by the Mayor?

It's all confusing.

Snyder was working for the Mayor, but the Mayor didn't tell him the whole story. Just enough to make him work for him, especially in season 3. It could be that he wanted to kick her out because of the orders of the Mayor, but I think that he strongly hated her aswell.

Snyder was just a mean person that understood half of the things that happened in Sunnydale.

I don't think Snyder knew much at all, really. I think he only knew what The Mayor wanted him to know, and he turned a blind eye to everything else.

The Mayor maybe? he often reported things to him. i don't think he knew an awful lot, just maybe the basics, and he always had it in for buffy, maybe one of the reasons was the mayor telling him to because he knew she was the slayer.

I think that a lot of the higher-ups knew something about the Hellmouth/vampires/Slayer, but maybe not the whole story. And they certainly won't admit it publically. Snyder went to great lengths to cover up the events at SHS.
