Well...

My name is kind of a a glorious mish-mash of two of my obsessions: ancient Egyptian mythology and the Buffyverse.

Mesektet, in ancient Egyptian mythology, is the barge Ra rode through the underworld at night. It translates into 'midnight' or 'nightfall', last time I checked. In the Angel mythology, Mesektet was the Red Girl in the White Room of W&H. She was the last member of the Rahtet totem, being the darkest and most evil of the totem that symbolized the sun's progression through the sky.

Ra is the sun-god. Pretty simple, no?

Other names I use are Rahtet Mesektet, Mesektet, and ChainOfAncients. 'Chain of Ancients' is the name of a instrumental from the 'Restless' suite [it's on the OMwF soundtrack], and I thought it sounded cool.

i had akasha_sXe and thats kinda simple. akasha was the queen vampire and sXe stands for straight edge (http://www.straightedge.com/) although that has since changed

then my account got deleted and i was bored with that name so at the time i was picking a name, i was listening to the song "princes of the universe" by queen and just changed it to "princess"

hey, i started a thread like this once somewhere else! its nice to know that i apparently have some good ideas. *thinks back* when i joined this board, i just knew that there was this other board where no one could ever talk about buffy or angel casue no one knew about it, and i heard about this one and wanted to join right away. i wanted to be creative and not regret my choice later, but i didnt want to spend an hour on it. fred, was my favorite character, and she died, and spirit_of_fred sounded nice, so i used it. i thought no one would like it, but lots of people actually did say they liked my username and it was a good choice and all. i was kind of shocked, honestly. i guess i dont always know the difference between my bad ideas and my good ones. 🙂

Well mine was fairly simple, I wanted something that included both shows, and maybe hinted at my love for bangel. So, for obvious reasons I chose angelic_slayer (angelic>angel, slayer>buffy, in case you're confused 😉) unfortunatly I eventually realised that there was another 'angelic slayer 'at one point (who seems to be inactive, I'm guessing ???) but what can I say? The name stuck. As you all know, my lovely "_" changed to "~"s when my old account got the boot, I thought they looked funky. So yeah, that's the story of the mighty ~angelic slayer~ the end! 😀
