shoot faith with the tranquilizer gun that they used for Oz instead of stabbing her in the gut?

That way theres more blood for Angel and Faith couldn't have fought back.

Also, wouldn't it have been funny if, when Buffy tried to smash out of the window with the Mayor trapped inside, if she had just gone THUD into the window... TO BE CONTINUED

This is probably just me being silly but its just a thought

lol, a big thud would be quite funny. There are plenty of things that could be done simpler. I always figured
if Willow was powerful enough to teleport Glory, why not just teleport her into a cliff face or into the molten depths of the earth.
But yea, like most these things, they make for good TV!

Btw, im still curious about your name considering you're only on S4. I hope you not 'trolling' with your other post-S4 spoiler related questions.

Oh no. Lol. I'm going cold turkey on the spoilers. I have not actually seen many episodes in sequence until i started collecting the series. Im actually only up to s4 episode 11 but i have seen random bits of other episodes on TV when i thought i wouldn't be interested in watching the series as a whole. I have seen random scenes here and there...e.g.

Buffy standing in some random desert with some butt ugly thing just staring at her (have no idea what it is)

Glory levitating in mid air and then just saying "oh sh..."

Angel slapping Buffy (i remember giggling at her face)

and i vaguely remember Glory sitting with Tara on a bench or something...

Basically i just love the scenes and sound of Glory.

ahh got ya! Remember your in the S3 forum so i'd give you post a few spoiler tags for everyone else's benefit.
Because stabbing makes for a better storyline, especially when its Faith on the end of the knife, for Buffy to try and kill Faith who maybe a slayer but is still a human being is a huge deal. It adds drama and adds a new dynamic to Buffy that we've never seen. It shows her growing up a bit more and in a way graduating in to making tougher adult decisions. Also if she had just tranqulized Faith we wouldn't have got the dramatic sexual/blood sucking moment from Angel on Buffy.

Perhaps she didn't want Angel to be a human-murderer.
Or perhaps she was just pissed enough to want to kill Faith herself. *shrug*

i love that idea about him bumping into the window. Too bad the whole scene was in full serious mode. 😀

I agree that Buffy wanted to take the responsibility of killing Faith onto herself rather than make Angel responsible for another human death, but also she would have been reluctant to allow a living, active Slayer around him in his weakened condition. If Faith had have gotten out of control, only for a second, she could have killed him.

And as for the entire "TO BE CONTINUED" thing, yes, it would have been funny, but the entire point of the scene was to illustrate just how serious a matter this was. Buffy and Faith were like sisters. Not exactly the best of friends, certainly not lovers (Sorry, Fuffies) but they shared a bond unlike anything the world had ever seen defore. Two living Slayers. Having the two of them face off in a fight to the death would be far too serious a matter. Comedy would have destroyed the entire mood of the scene.

Concur. Plus, the fact that Faith is a SLAYER would have made it very difficult for Buffy to shoot her with a tranq'; Slayers have enhanced reflexes. They can catch a crossbolt in mid-air within the blink of an eye, or virtually any shooting object. I think Faith even dodged a bullet in "Five By Five" (not sure).

Thats a very good point actually about Slayer reflexes I completely forgot about it but its true actually. Shooting Faith with a trainq gun would be pretty hard to do. Although I don't remember her dodging a bullet in Five By Five, not unless you mean when Angel shot her with the gun she gave him and it was all blanks minus the one that shot him???

I always thought that Buffy went to Faith to battle it out, instead of tranquilizing her, because she WANTED to. It's like payback you know? You hurt me and I hurt you back. Worse. Faith killed a man, blamed Buffy for it, brushed it off, betrayed the gang... and on top of all of that, she poisioned Angel.

I have a feeling Faith was betting on Buffy coming to her for the antedote... maybe she even thought that she would get the best of Buffy.

And I think that it would have been easier for Buffy to justify killing her for Angel than it would be for her to justify letting Angel kill her. But killing Faith... would kinda make Buffy the same as Faith. Slayers are supposed to protect humans... not kill them.

But I think I'm reading more into it than I should.

What everyone else said: Might be hard to hit Faith, didn't want Angel to have to kill her only feed off her corpse, she had to kill her and might have felt bad about tranquilizing her only to stab her to death in her sleep.
