Why Didn't Darla Go To Hell?

I forgot the episode but Darla said something to Angel like "when you staked me nothing happened. Doe's hell exist?". Now what I wanna know is why didn't Darla go to hell? In the season 4 episode she says she is in hell so why didn't she go to hell the first time she died? She had 400 years of bad deads.
 
maybe cause it was prophesised that she was gonna come back so they coulnt send her round trip or whatever
 
When was it prophesised that Darla would come back? Also Angel was prophesised to come back so why did he go to hell?
 
maybe they had planned on explaining that with Darla but ran out of time(happens alot), i dont remember it being prophesised her coming back, but maybe Wolfram and Hart did something that caused her to become stuck between Hell and life, after they found out she had been killed, which would allow them bring her back. And Angel was sent into Acathla'a hell dimension, the First brought him back, i think that situation is different from Darla's.
 
Like BillieHunter just said, Angel was sucked DIRECTLY into a hell dimension through Akathla's mouth. Maybe if he'd just been staked he would've found himself in some type of Purgatory/Limbo until he got yanked back as feral grunting naked man, instead of grooving in Hell for a couple hundred years.
 
Darla is a vampire. Only a person with a soul goes to heaven or hell. A vampire doesn't have a soul therefore it just ceases to exist when it is dusted.

That's the truth.Vampires after dusting just stop existing..There's nothingness for them only..
 
Very interesting........explains a lot. Nothingness IMO is often worse than pain and torture. Nothing is nothing.......can't feel, touch, see......nothing........you cease to exist...IMO the ultimate form of torture. But, when the person was vamped, would that mean their soul already moved on, and somewhere their soul exists? Or do they go to oblivion also? Their body walks, talks,dead but not gone, but their soul exists in heaven, hell, or wherever. Strange concept to think about.
 
There are different levels of hell people....so Darla couldve gone to one where well not that much happens, or where their is just nothingness, just black, suffer alone forever.
 
well, the Darla we saw was the human Darla. The one who was killed by the master, and then later killed by Dru. She hadn't really done anything too bad, cept allow that W&H vamp to kill that guy posing as her husband. It's certainly possible she attoned for her sins. Of course, there's always my theory that it was really the First posing as Darla...

but the first itsn't corporeal, how could she have touched angel or anyone else if she was really the first?::angel::
 
Still there are writer's mistakes like when the First was able to ruffle Angel's hair in "Amends"...

Back on topic: In a way, vampires already cease to exist because they aren't meant to be "alive" after being killed. They have no soul and that means that they don't have a conscience, so they cease to exist.
 
Does anyone have the quote that states vampires cease to exist? I can't remember something like that ever being said, but I tend to forget a lot.
 
I don't think it was ever said, I think it's just most people's theory. But maybe there is a quote, or something was said, but I don't think so...
 
I always got the impression that vampires had nothing left that could go to hell because their soul/essence has already passed on so theres only their body left, maybe the demon inside her disappeared or maybe she just forgot all together.
