It may have been said in the episode, but I really can't remember - why didn't the ritual to remove Angel's soul fail? I think it happened in the episode called Enemies.

Correctamundo! The shaman went to Giles off screen to warn him and they set Faith and the Mayor up to find out what they were up to.

Yes. The shahman owed Giles a favor and put on a 'light show'. Faith did not know about Giles's connection to the shahman, so therefore didn't know she was being fooled.

Just watched the episode today on sky one. Yeh the shaman owed Giles because he introduced him to his wife!(or so he told the scoobies)
